Dead by Daylight is nearing the indefinite sunset of its beloved Stranger Things content and tying up loose ends before it leaves the game's storefront on November 17. Discounted sale prices have been offered for many Stranger Things-related cosmetics and characters, as well as a giveaway that gave players the chance to win some of Dead by Daylight's Stranger Things content for free.

Whether players preferred it or disliked it for whatever reasons, Stranger Things' Hawkins National Laboratory realm map will also be withdrawn from Dead by Daylight and is the only piece of Stranger Things content that will be unsalvageable through microtransactions before it is pulled. Because of this, Behaviour Interactive is highlighting the map in a highly active rotation cycle for players this month. However, offerings for the map were previously disabled due to performance issues and are now removed completely from players' inventories.

Recently, Dead by Daylight attempted to make this up to players with varying sums of Bloodpoints that were doled out to gamers if they had previously held onto any Hawkins National Laboratory ID offerings. Because the offerings are no longer in rotation at all and have been pulled from the game, Behaviour is instead compensating players with Bloodpoints, but this only favors those who had held onto any offerings in the first place before they were terminated.

Players are understandably upset that they did not know that their compensation would equal the number of offerings they had because, as some players state, they would have consciously kept them or amassed them from Dead by Daylight's Bloodweb for a greater number of Bloodpoints. Hawkins National Laboratory being in a more active rotation next weekend is then another compensation given to players, since offerings are no longer available for use before the map itself is removed from Dead by Daylight.

Dead by Daylight players will likely get plenty of chances to play on Hawkins National Laboratory before it is removed from the game, particularly if they play between November 12 and November 15, when it will pop up more frequently. Still, any players who are upset at this content leaving will at least have Dead by Daylight's newest chapter to look forward to, as Portrait of a Murder is already set to launch sometime this month.

Dead by Daylight is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
