Dead by Daylight has come a long way since its launch in 2016. The asymmetric multiplayer horror game has maintained a dedicated audience of players, allowing the developers to release a consistent string of content, including new maps, survivors, and more. While Dead by Daylight players are likely appreciative of the new maps and survivors that have been added over the years, the most exciting DLC is always the new killers that are added to the game.
Most recently, Dead by Daylight added the Plague, who made her debut on March 19. The Plague's addition to the list of Dead by Daylight killers means that there are now 15 killers in Dead by Daylight. However, the list of Dead by Daylight killers will continue to grow throughout the year, as Behaviour Interactive is expected to add at least three more playable characters to the game by December 2019.
1. Cannibal (Junior Sawyer/Leatherface)
2. Clown (Jeffrey Hawk)
3. Doctor (Herman Carter)
4. Hag (Lisa Sherwood)
5. Hillbilly (Max Thompson, Jr.)
6. Huntress (Anna)
7. Legion (Frank, Julie, Susie, and Joey)
8. Nightmare (Freddy Krueger)
9. Nurse (Sally Smithson)
10. Pig (Amanda Young)
11. Plague (Adiris)
12. Shape (Michael Myers)
13. Spirit (Rin Yamaoka)
14. Trapper (Evan MacMillan
15. Wraith (Philip Ojomo)
As can be seen by the list, Dead by Daylight features some famous horror icons. Some of the more famous Dead by Daylight killers include The Texas Chainsaw Massacre's Leatherface, Halloween's Michael Myers, Saw's Amanda Young, and A Nightmare on Elm Street's Freddy Krueger.
Future Dead by Daylight DLC may add even more horror movie killers to the mix, but in the meantime, there are some famous survivors as well. Most recently, it was revealed that Ash from The Evil Dead would be coming to Dead by Daylight on April 2 as a playable survivor.
While it's great to see famous horror icons in Dead by Daylight as both killers and survivors, it would also be nice to see more of Behaviour Interactive's original characters. With at least three more DLC characters coming by the end of 2019, it will be interesting to see what nightmarish monstrosities Behaviour Interactive is able to dream up.
Dead by Daylight is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. A Nintendo Switch version is also in development.
