There are a lot of interesting characters in Dead By Daylight and every couple of months they expand the roster by incorporating new original ideas or pulling from well-established franchises. Over the years they’ve used Killers and Survivors from Saw, Stranger Things, Halloween, Nightmare On Elm Street, Ash Vs Evil Dead, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Scream, and Left 4 Dead.

Many have been incredibly popular, and fans are excited to see what other franchises the game will pull from for the next DLC. Until then here are some franchises that would make great additions to the game.

10 Hellraiser

It’s incredible this horror franchise doesn’t appear more in today’s video games. It has the right blend of gore, horrific atmosphere, and unique characters that seem like a shoe in for a DLC. Kristy Cotton would make a great survivor that fans could relate to.

But what would really bring the DLC to life is Clive Barker’s horrifying Pinhead as a Killer. With perks like teleportation, hooked chains, and illusion-based abilities, he’d make for a terrifying foe to chase down survivors in the Labyrinth realm. In fact Hellraiser’s lore would fit rather well with the Entity’s ambitions.

9 Insidious

This popular movie franchise came out of nowhere and horror fans fell in love instantly. Having the Lipstick Face Demon as a Killer would be absolutely terrifying with its sneaky properties, dark appearance, and having Tiptoe Through The Tulips playing wherever it goes.

The Further would be a great place for survivors to escape from with twisting shadows and strange interconnected rooms. For survivors Josh Lambert with some type of Astral perk that allows him to explore the map but leave his body vulnerable would be interesting or have Elise Rainier with the perk to see Killers while in their invisible forms. Either would make for powerful survivor perks.

8 Until Dawn

Set in the lonely snow covered mountains or the depths of the mines Until Dawn would be a fun DLC for fans of the game. Having either Sam, Mike or possibly even Josh as survivors would make them feel right at home with the rest of the survivors already in the roster.

The Wendigos could be an interesting addition as well with these Killers having difficulty seeing still targets, but able to move a lot faster across the ground or climbing over objects. A Killer that could climb through two story windows or pounce at survivors would be terrifying.

7 Psycho

It probably sounds strange to add this horror classic to the list, but if done properly it could make for an interesting DLC. The map could be the swamp with the Bates Motel in the center of it. The Survivor could be Caroline who could use her tranquilizers to slow down or stun the Killer.

But by far the most interesting concept would be the Killer Norman Bates. He could have a disguise mode where he appears to be a survivor as Norman Bates, but switches to Mother to attack survivors. Having the iconic music play whenever he attacks would make for incredible jumpscares.

6 Silence Of The Lambs

Having the incredibly charming and downright terrifying Hannibal Lector roaming an insane asylum or decrepit mansion would be terrifying especially if he wore his iconic face mask. Having those familiar tunes of Goldberg Variations to classical pieces would make for a chilling atmosphere.

Lector’s perks could be a boost in speed after each Hook, each kill would grant him permanent bonuses, and something Obsession based. The survivor would easily be Clarice Starling who could have perks that make her the Obsession and thrive at solo survival.

5 Alien

Admittedly introducing Alien characters and settings would be a stretch to Dead By Daylight’s tone, but go with it for a minute. Having the setting in the crumbling prison from Alien 3 with opening and closing doors would be awesome.

Ripley would have to be the survivor with perks for sneaking and maybe a gadget or two for Killer detection/distraction. Having the Xenomorph as the Killer would be really fun, hard to see thanks to it’s black shell, deals damage with acidic blood whenever it’s damage by a pallet or something, and then be very, very sneaky. Think a multiplayer version of Alien Isolation and you get the idea.

4 The Purge

With a successful movie franchise and a strong tv series The Purge would make a great DLC. The setting could be any old building or neighborhood and the survivors could be a number of characters from across the storylines, though Dwayne (The Bloody Stranger) seems like a good fit.

The Killer could be a lot of options with all the terrifying killers in various costumes and outfits across the series. But a good standout is the creepy Polite Stranger from the first with perks to disrupt generators, sneak around, and detect hidden survivors.

3 Outlast

The incredible horror video game that took the world by storm seems made for this game and should be a DLC in the near future. With Mount Massive Asylum or Temple Gate serving as creepy maps players could run around as Miles Upshur or Waylon Park for survivors.

The hardest thing about building this DLC would be choosing a single character to act as Killer. Nightmare Loutermilch complete with hands and tongue, Marta with her cross and insane mumblings, Richard Trager and his scissors, The Walrider with ghost-like perks, the cannibal Frank Manera, or the romantic Eddie Gluskin would all be terrifying. In all honestly though it would have to be the juggernaut Chris Walker.

2 Jeepers Creepers

This cult classic would be a good fit with all of the rural Killers running around. Admittedly the map would be very similar to farm-based maps already in the game, so this DLC would probably just add the characters.

Jack Taggart Sr. would make a great survivor with perks that involve harassing/distracting the Killer. The Killer would be the terrifying Creeper who would apply the Madness effect and have abilities that help him track down the Survivors. It would also be cool if he had a speed bonus kick in every 23 seconds.

1 Silent Hill

This classic game would serve as absolute nightmare fuel for Dead By Daylight as a DLC crossover. Having the map set anywhere within the Silent Hill universe would be eerie and any of the main characters would make great survivors.

But by far the best Killer that would come out of that game would be Pyramid Head. This iconic figure wading through the world with his large sword or spear would be a nightmare to behold. Giving him perks that can detect survivor locations or incredible resiliency would make him a capable servant of the Entity.
