Behaviour Interactive's Dead by Daylight has become famous for introducing icons of the horror genre into its world. The asymmetrical horror game has four Survivors try to avoid being sacrificed by a Killer, including representatives from movies like Halloween and video games like Silent Hill, added to Dead by Daylight this June. Now, fans can play it on Google Stadia with additional features.

The main draw for players to use the Stadia version is that it will include a Crowd Choice option for YouTube, letting viewers pick whether a streamer will be a Killer or Survivor and then choosing which character they use. Dead by Daylight is free for Stadia Pro users for a limited time to celebrate the launch, according to a press release sent out by Behaviour Interactive today, and cross-progression will become available later in October.

A Dead by Daylight Stadia release that has cross-play with other platforms was announced some time ago, and Behaviour's press release says the launch is part of "The Realm Beyond," an initiative to embrace next-gen technology. Last month, Behaviour announced a PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X release for Dead by Daylight under this same banner.

This new platform release comes after Dead by Daylight launched its "Descend Beyond" update in September, adding a new original Survivor and Killer as DLC alongside the game's first wave of graphical improvements. Dead by Daylight has grown a lot since it released in 2016, so it will be interesting to see where the developers take it next.

Dead by Daylight is available now for PC, PS4, Stadia, Switch, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions also in development.
