Every so often, Dead by Daylight developer Behaviour Interactive puts out a survey to gauge how the players are feeling about the current state of the game. In response, it will adjust the game or create new DLC based on the feedback received from fans. On April 23 this year, Dead by Daylight revealed another survey on its Twitter account that asks fans their opinions of recent DLC, promotional images, and the more grotesque and ugly images of the game's horror themes. This survey was a little different in other ways too, with a special section asking fans what licensed content they'd like to see in DBD.

After a few questions about the recent All-Kill chapter, the survey opens to a page devoted to the future of Behaviour Interactive's licensed partnerships. There is a question that asks fans who they would consider a good addition to the game, with four drop down menus for Movies/TV, Anime, Video Games, and Comics. Each list varies in length but features some popular IPs from their respective mediums, although some more conventional horror franchises than others. Looking at some of the IP partners already listed, there is a lot of potential in new DLC chapters for Dead by Daylight.

Scooby-Doo

It's probably too much to ask to put Scooby into Dead by Daylight, but the other main characters from Scooby-Doo would make great Survivors. Daphne, Fred, Vilma, and Shaggy each have unique backgrounds that could be used to influence their individual perks. As for Killers, Scooby-Doo would potentially give Behaviour Interactive room to stretch its creative legs. As long as Warner Brothers allowed it, fans could see an R-rated version of a Scooby-Doo villain. That has a lot of options for the classic monsters like Miner Forty-Niner and The Creeper to become much gorier versions of themselves.

Death Note

It is hard to think of who would make a good survivor from the Death Note anime series, as there are few people who are free from the gray area. However, the same can't be said for Ryuk, who's boredom ultimately leads to the torrent of death that occurs when Light finds and uses the Death Note. He has no interest in humanity, and he sees the unfolding murders as entertainment, which would make him a perfect character to torment the Survivors in the void.

Five Nights at Freddy's

Five Nights at Freddys 4

It was amazing how fast the classic Five Nights at Freddy's skyrocketed to popularity, and the cult following and series that have come after. In the time since the original, there have been multiple games, books, and an upcoming movie. The mechanical animals are definitely scary and one would make an exceptional Killer in Dead by Daylight. Perhaps Freddy Fazbear himself has decided to enter the Fog, or Springtrap possessed by Afton's soul.

Until Dawn

Until Dawn provided an almost movie-quality visual experience with heavy narrative choices and famous actors like Rami Malek and Hayden Panettiere. The game's story itself is basically the same premise as a match of Dead by Daylight. The group of Survivors had to run from the killer Wendigos chasing and killing their friends. Because of sheer experience alone, the Wendigo is perfect. After breaking her leg during a fall, Hannah is forced to eat her twin sister and falls to the Wendigo curse. This sort of macabre psychological horror origin plays into Dead by Daylight's similar stories for its own Killers.

Dead by Daylight is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
