Several days ago, Behaviour Interactive and Starbreeze Studios released a teaser trailer hinting at a new Killer coming to the asymmetrical multiplayer survival horror title Dead By Daylight, leading many to speculate what kind of playable antagonist would be added this time around. Now, the companies have officially opened up the latest Player Test Build for the PC version of the game, which has led to the unveiling of the Killer known simply as The Clown.
As seen in the stills found in the Imgur album below from the Redditor known as Ammuze, not only is Dead By Daylight set to add The Clown as its next Killer, but also it will incorporate a new Survivor named Kate Denson. Both of the characters should be available to try out right now for those who choose to opt in to the game's PTB on PC. Fans looking to do so would do well to follow the instructions from Behaviour Interactive and Starbreeze Studios right here.
The Clown will be able to use a poisonous brew dubbed The Afterpiece Tonic as his Power, which will cause Survivors to suffer from impaired vision, reduce their movement speed, and cough involuntarily. He will also have three personal perks named Coulrophobia, Pop Goes the Weasel, and Bamboozle. Coulrophobia causes Survivors within his terror radius to have a 30% penalty to healing progression speed. Pop Goes the Weasel causes the next Generator he breaks to be instantly regressed by 15% of its total progression. Finally, Bamboozle increases the Killer's Vault speed by 5%, with a vault action calling upon The Entity to block that vault location for 8 seconds.
Like the other Survivors in Dead By Daylight, Kate Denson won't be able to wield a Power, but she does have three personal perks dubbed Windows of Opportunity, Boil Over, and Dance With Me, and each contains their own unique aspects to counter Killers. Windows of Opportunity unlocks potential in her aura reading ability, with auras of pallets and vaults revealed when within a 20 Meters range. Boil Over increases her struggling effects on the Killer by 25%. Lastly, Dance With Me will leave no scratch marks for 3 seconds when performing a fast vault or leaving a locker in a sprint.
Taking all of this into account, there's no doubt that Dead By Daylight fans are excited to finally get their hands on a new Killer and Survivor, as it's been several months since the Saw Chapter DLC became available. Of course, Behaviour Interactive and Starbreeze Studios have already promised that they won't be stopping just yet with the addition of The Clown and Kate Denson. As a matter of fact, the companies have listed three new Killers and Survivors to come in Dead By Daylight's Year 3 roadmap.
Dead By Daylight is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
