Behaviour Interactive's Dead by Daylight is an asymmetric, 4v1 multiplayer game that has both original and licensed characters. Today, the latest downloadable content arrives with Resident Evil, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary with Dead by Daylight.

Dead by Daylight is a live-service game with public test servers and multiple patch updates. For example, Behaviour has recently attempted to implement skill-based matchmaking into Dead by Daylight's player queues again. But meanwhile, Dead by Daylight continues to receive frequent content updates among each bug fix that the developers try to integrate. Resident Evil is the latest franchise to enter Dead by Daylight's growing crossover platform, with a lot of content for fans of both franchises included.

Dead by Daylight's official launch trailer has the same introduction as the announcement trailer, but continues further and shows each of the Survivor protagonists that will be playable through Resident Evil's downloadable content. Players receive a first look at Chris and Claire Redfield, as Claire is seen patching Chris up before Leon and Jill arrive to coordinate a plan. The launch trailer does not provide in-game footage of the characters. But it does reflect the entertaining potential of an entire group of Survivors roleplaying as the four Resident Evil characters in the Raccoon Police Department.

The official trailer briefly depicts each Resident Evil addition to Dead by Daylight, such as a roaming zombie, who exists as an NPC AI for Nemesis and may obstruct players as they attempt to repair generators. Nemesis, who is the Resident Evil DLC's selected Killer, does not have any skins currently associated to it.

Further, in addition to Chris and Claire Redfield joining Dead by Daylight's character roster as Legendary skins, another pair of skins have been added. Fans are able to purchase Leon S. Kennedy's Resident Evil 4 skin, from the beginning of the game where he is wearing a tan jacket. Moreover, fans are also able to purchase Jill Valentine's Resident Evil 3: Nemesis skin, where she is wearing her classic tube-top outfit.

However, players who wish to make these in-game purchases will ultimately have to spend more toward the skins than the actual downloadable content itself. Leon's Resident Evil 4 outfit and Jill's Resident Evil 3 outfit are both considered Very Rare cosmetics. The Very Rare cosmetics are currently discounted at 1,080 Auric Cells, which is Dead by Daylight's in-game currency.

With the Redfield siblings' cosmetics costing even more at 1,485 Auric Cells, it will be up to players' discretion whether they wish to purchase Dead by Daylight's fan-favorite cosmetics. Nonetheless, fans have a great amount of content to enjoy through Dead by Daylight's addition of the Resident Evil franchise.

Dead by Daylight is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
