Dead by Daylight players know that half the fun of the asymmetrical multiplayer game is in learning the game's Killers and Survivors. Every Killer plays differently in Dead by Daylight, and every Survivor plays different around each Killer. As such, every player likely has a list of their favorite Killers and Survivors, as well as Perks for each that they use to succeed. Now Behaviour Interactive has shared an official list of Dead by Daylight's most popular picks, for players to compare with.

Behaviour hasn't provided a definitive list of players' most popular Killers and Survivors, unfortunately. But it has provided the top three most popular picks. Starting off with Killers, the most popular pick since Dead by Daylight launches is the Wraith. It's also the only Killer on the list from Dead by Daylight's original three Killers. The second Killer on the list is Huntress, whose thrown axes continue to terrorize Dead by Daylight players. Third, is the always-laughing Doctor.

The Survivors list also starts with one of the original Dead by Daylight Survivors. Claudette Morel is the most played Survivor in the game. Being one of the game's best healers makes a Survivor very popular. The second most popular Survivor is another of the game's original set. It's Meg Thomas, whose Sprint Bursts and Adrenaline make her a great choice for escaping Killers in chases. In third is Feng Min, who is not only great at repairing generators, but has some tricks for escaping Killers, as well.

Ultimately, both the Killers and Survivors lists have a key bias to them. Both lists feature characters released in either 2016 or 2017. Of course they're going to be played more than most other characters, because most other characters haven't been available for as long as these Killers and Survivors.

Behaviour also shared the most popular Killer and Survivor Perks. For Killers, the most popular Perks were Cannibal Perk Barbecue & Chili, Hag Perk Hex: Ruin, and the general Perk Hex: No One Escapes Death. For Survivors, the most popular Perks were Self-Care, Borrowed Time, and Dead Hard.

What's perhaps most surprising about all of the lists from Behaviour is how unsurprising they are. Dead by Daylight players are likely extremely familiar with how common Wraith, Huntress, and the Doctor are in queues, nevermind how rare it is to have a match without a Claudette, Meg, or Feng. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but few Dead by Daylight players would likely argue that the best times to play the game are when new content releases and everything feels fresh and new.

Dead by Daylight is available now PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and mobile devices.
