In the genre of online team-based survival horror games, there aren't really many bigger than Dead by Daylight. With the Sadako Rising update going live in Dead by Daylight last month, Behaviour Interactive's IP is still proving to be a popular title, especially among the streaming community. Released in June 2016, the game is due to celebrate its sixth anniversary. No doubt there will be some additional content, and the leaks have already begun as a number of sources have outlined what they believe is coming.A couple of days ago, the Twitter profile DBDLeaks, which, as the name suggests, specializes in leaks about Dead by Daylight, uploaded an image that shows what the anniversary event may be bringing. Among other things, it looks as though the game will be implementing a new "licensed" killer and a new survivor, though there doesn't seem to be a lot of information about them.RELATED: Dead by Daylight Update 5.6.2 Makes a Number of Important ChangesHowever, the website Leaks by Daylight believes that the new Dead by Daylight killer could well have powers that will allow them to "interact with the lockers" by being able to enter and exit them. As for the new survivor, it's possible they could be called Haddie Kaur and may be an original character who is described as an "Indian psychic investigator." As well as this, there could be two new levels and some additional lore. One of the other major updates to the game seems to be in the form of a "community challenge," which may well be related to tasks that players can complete, such as interacting with the Green Glyph or breaking a certain number of pallets as a collective.

It's important to say that at this stage these are just speculations and nothing has been officially confirmed by the studio at the time of writing. In the run-up to a major update, it's common for the fan base to speculate about leaks related to Dead by Daylight, such as the rumored Conjuring DLC, as players try to decipher exactly what's going to be included in the next patch.

With there now being a board game adaptation of Dead by Daylight on the way, the online survival title is still going strong. With its roster of killers and monsters from known horror film and TV franchises, Behaviour Interactive has a winning formula on its hands. As more updates keep coming, it's likely that the game will continue to remain as popular as ever, especially if fans are going to stream their playthroughs.

Dead By Daylight is available for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
