The new DC games Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and Gotham Knights are scheduled to be shown at the upcoming DC FanDome 2021. Although it is right around the corner, a new trailer for the event shows off new footage of both games.

It has been some time since either Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League or Gotham Knights have appeared in a large capacity. The former title was revealed at E3 2020, and the next game from Rocksteady Studios, the developers of the universally acclaimed Batman Arkham series, leaving fans with high expectations for this new game. More information has come out since its announcement, notably that Kill the Justice League is actually set within the Batman Arkham universe. Gotham Knights, the upcoming live-service game starring Batgirl, Robin, Nightwing, and the Red Hood, is similarly set within a Batman-less world, as new reports of the game have shown.

In the latest DC FanDome 2021 trailer, new footage for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and Gotham Knights is shown. The Twitter account ArkhamVideos has conveniently cropped the trailer just to show the couple seconds of footage featuring the two games. One shot shows the Suicide Squad team of Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang, King Shark, and Deadshot firing at what appears to be the back side of a bus before exploding. It cuts to another shot of the gang from below as they assemble in a crosshair formation as seen in the recently released new Suicide Squad character art.

Gotham Knights takes up the backhalf of the segment with a whopping two seconds of footage. In the first shot, Nightwing stands with his back to the camera in a dimly lit alley as Red Hood pulls up on his motorcycle. With the final cut, it jumps to a tracking shot of Batgirl running up what looks like a collapsing structure of some kind, though it could also just be skewed camera angle of the footage. Pursuing Batgirl are presumably some of Gotham Knights' Court of Owls enemies, dressed entirely in black with owl-shaped masks with glowing green eyes.

Considering this footage is part of a much larger trailer, it is fitting that there are only brief clips of these games here. This footage serves as a tease for what's to come when DC FanDome 2021 officially gets underway, trying to entice fans to tune in and check it out. Nonetheless, it is still new footage for games that generally have very little currently available media, so if anything, it is great to see DC getting excited to show fans what it has been working on.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is in development for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X. Gotham Knights is set to release in 2022 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
