Superstrength, speed, flight, the ability to shoot laser beams, the ability to not instantly and spectacularly die when hit by laser beams, and other fantastic powers are possessed by many characters in the DCEU. They put the "super" in "superhero" and "supervillain." Compared to any ordinary mortal, they are deadly beyond compare.

Yet other characters from DC Comics are more powerful. So powerful, in fact, that could not appear in the DCEU without breaking it. Their powers border on cheats, and without massive nerfs to reduce their abilities, they would obliterate any opposition and ruin any plot. These comic book characters are the definition of OP.

10 Superman Prime

Closeup of Superman Prime from DC Comics

Everyone knows that Superman draws his power from earth's yellow sun. So what happens to Superman if he spends 15,000 years inside that sun? The answer is Superman Prime. The most overpowered version of the Man of Steel, Superman Prime can create entire universes and life itself.

He is immortal, has enough willpower to use a Green Lantern ring, and can even share a portion of his power with his descendants. As if possessing more power than the average demigod weren't enough? With almost no weaknesses to counter his strengths, Superman Prime is close to unstoppable.

9 The Endless

The Endless from DC Comics gathered in an ornate room

Though not a single character, the seven supernatural beings of The Endless are all members of a single family. Each is an otherwise nameless personification of some essential element of the world: Destiny, Death, Dream, Destruction, Desire, Despair, and Delirium.

They are absolutely sovereign and all-powerful within their own realms, and even outside of them they are incredibly potent threats. If killed, they simply return in another form. Unique rules govern the activities of each and in some ways limit their power, but beyond those rules, the strength of The Endless is almost...well...endless.

8 Mr. Mxyzptlk

Mr. Mxyzptlk from DC Comics looming over Superman

A prank-loving imp from the 5th dimension, Mr. Mxyzptlk has been a thorn in Superman's side for some time. There are great actors for the role, but Mr. Mxyzptlk is DCEU-breaking. Like a character straight out of gag manga, Mr. Mxyzptlk's powers are only limited by what the writers find it funny for him to do. He can warp space and time, wipe beings from existence, and manifest basically any power he wants.

He can be cast back to the 5th dimension by forcing him to say his own name backward, but his real weakness is his unwillingness to unleash his full destructive potential. That's a good thing because otherwise, the DC Universe might not exist.

7 Anti-Monitor

Anti-Monitor from DC Comics

Arguably the strongest of Perpetua's three children, the Anti-Monitor is the ruler of the Antimatter Universe and is the being responsible for kicking off Crisis on Infinite Earths, an event that killed dozens of notable superheroes and villains and almost put an end to existence itself.

His strongest ability allows him to absorb the power of his surroundings, which doesn't sound terrible until one considers that Anti-Monitor has absorbed the power of over 1,000,000 worlds. He is both powerful enough and evil enough to travel to the beginning of time to stop the universe's creation. OP supervillain, thy name is Anti-Monitor.

6 Spectre

Spectre from DC Comics on a throne of bones

Spectre is the personification of God's wrath and proof that even heroes can be terrifying. He has taken many hosts, but the most famous of those is the Green Lantern Hal Jordan. His mystical and physical powers are absurdly strong, allowing him to beat superheroes as strong as Shazam with almost zero effort. Spectre even beat the Anti-Monitor in hand-to-hand combat, which is about as impressive an accomplishment as one could achieve.

Even Spectre's awesome powers have limits, however, as The Presence (DC's version of God) has specific rules governing what Spectre can and cannot do in His name. Were it not for these limitations, Spectre would be all but unstoppable.

5 Nekron

Nekron from DC Comics, holding his scythe

Nekron is the personification of death. That in itself is enough warning that the character has an unfair advantage. He can raise the dead, kill with a single touch, survive a blast from Anti-Monitor, and banish the Spectre.

Nekron is not a living creature with a soul, hence his immunity to the Spectre's power, making him more like a force of nature than anything else. He has come closer to the eradication of all life than almost any other villain in the DC Universe, and no combination of heroes and villains from the DCEU would be enough to stand against his might.

4 Perpetua

Perpetua from DC Comics, wreathed in lightning

Perpetua created the Multiverse. She created the Monitor, Anti-Monitor, and World Forger. She threatened the life of Batman, Wonder Woman, and every other hero in critical storylines as Dark Knights: Metal, Dark Knights: Death Metal, and Year of the Villain. Entire galaxies spring to life and die around her when she sleeps. She is all but immortal, can teleport, tamper with time, manipulate matter at a whim, and alter the entire Multiverse at once.

For the scope of her power alone, Perpetua ranks amongst the most storyline-breaking characters to ever appear in DC Comics, and if she appeared in the DCEU, breaking storylines is exactly what she would do.

3 The Darkest Knight

The Darkest Knight from DC Comics, surrounded by planets

After murdering the Joker and succumbing to a toxic trap the Joker had prepared, the Bruce Wayne of Earth-22 lost his mind and became the Batman Who Laughs. This sadistic fusion of Batman and Joker conquered the world and ruled it from a throne of bodies, and that's before things got really bad.

After receiving the powers of Dr. Manhattan, the rechristened "Darkest Knight" had a list of powers pages long. In fact, at this level of power, it's no longer useful to list all the things the character can do. He is, at least briefly, a god, and something the DCEU could never overcome.

2 Dr. Manhattan

Dr. Manhattan on the cover of Before Watchmen from DC Comics

The scientific accident that transformed Jonathan Osterman into a hairless blue musclehead also gave him the powers of a god. He can see the past, present, and future simultaneously, transform worlds, and manipulate entire universes and timelines without a second thought.

The sole restriction on his power is that tachyons interfere with his ability to see through time, blinding him to critical events, as seen in Watchmen. Without that one weakness, it's possible that Dr. Manhattan might rival The Presence himself, given that no moral code binds Manhattan's actions, leaving him free to do whatever he pleases with the fates of others.

1 The Presence

The Presence from DC Comics

The personification of the Abrahamic God in the DC Universe, The Presence is omnipotent and omniscient. There are no meaningful outside restrictions on his power. Whatever The Presence wants to do, he simply does. He cannot be stopped, and for that simple reason, he is utterly incompatible with the DCEU.

When he appears, dramatic tension evaporates, because everyone already knows how the conflict will end. Only one limitation on the power of The Presence exists: he has a specific moral code from which he will never deviate. There are some things he will not do, even though he could. Beyond that sole restriction, The Presence is limitless.
