Justice League Dark: Apokolips is looking like a pretty big deal, and there's a good reason for that. It has now been reported that Apokolips will serve as the grand conclusion to the animated shared universe.

The Justice League animated universe started up in 2013 with James Tucker's Justice League: The Flashpoint ParadoxApokolips will be the 15th and final film in the continuity. This run of Justice League animated includes Son of Batman and Justice League Dark.

As the culmination for this leg of Justice League animated, Apokolips is already set to feature the biggest cast of superheroes in DC movie history. Dozens of characters will be returning (and actors reprising their roles) from their respective spots amidst the 6-year storyline, including such notable names as  Matt Ryan (Constantine), Jerry O'Connell (Superman), Shemar Moore (Cyborg), Taissa Farmiga (Raven), Jason O'Mara (Batman), and Rosario Dawson (Wonder Woman).

Apokolips is expected to release in a month or so, and it's the direct sequel to 2017's Justice League Dark. Despite Justice League Dark: Apokolips being the end of the current storyline, Warner Brothers Animation does intend to keep churning out DC Comics movies for the foreseeable future.

Considering that WB Animation released 6 DC movies in 2019, fans of the animated films won't be getting bored anytime soon.

Justice League Dark: Apokolips is set to release sometime in May 2020.
