Update: The Days Gone sale price will be $39.99, not $19.99 as previously listed. The original story is as follows:

Gaming isn't a cheap hobby, which can make it difficult to stay up to date with all the latest titles that hit consoles. Luckily, sales are fairly common on all major platforms, and Summer usually brings with it some of the biggest discounts gamers see throughout the year. Now, Sony has announced the date of their Days of Play sale, as well as some of the deals that players will be able to grab while it runs. Days Gone in particular will be getting a hefty discount, which will likely be enough to get more players to dip their toes in its zombie-infested waters.

The sale is scheduled to run from June 7th to June 17th, so players will have a pretty generous amount of time to snag any games they've been meaning to pick up, including Days Gone, which will be discounted all the way down to $20 just a few weeks after its initial release. While that may indicate that the game isn't performing very well sales-wise, despite Days Gone reviews being pretty solid, it's still a smoking deal, and definitely worth checking out for anyone with a zombie-shaped hole in their heart.

Of course, Days Gone won't be the only game going on sale. Spider-Man and God of War are also headlining the sale, being discounted to $20 themselves. The two games were some of the highest reviewed and best-selling games of last year, with Spider-Man even becoming the fastest selling superhero game ever. The two are definitely worth picking up for those with PlayStations that may have passed them over last year. Some other deals include:

  • Limited Edition PS4- $299.99
  • PSVR Bundles- $249.99
  • Dualshock 4 Controllers- $39.99
  • Spider-Man PS4- $19.99
  • God of War- $19.99
  • Days Gone- $19.99
  • The Last of Us Remastered- $9.99
  • Ratchet and Clank PS4- $9.99
  • Uncharted 4- $9.99

If the sale is anything like prior years', many other games will also go on sale, though those likely won't be announced until the Days of Play sale actually kicks off. Sony is being sued for misleading gamers in regards to their refund policy, though that shouldn't have any real effect on the sale, though it may lead to gamers being able to refund a bit more easily when the next sale comes around. It'll be interesting to see which third-party games are part of the sale line up, but it is incredible to see so many stellar exclusive games at such great prices.
