Days Gone is one of the most anticipated titles launching on the PlayStation 4 this year. After the game underwent several delays, the development team at Bend Studio announced that Days Gone has officially gone gold, just ahead of it's April release date. The game was first announced at E3 2016 and scheduled for a 2018 release date, but after a myriad of delays, fans will finally get their hands on Days Gone in April.

When Days Gone first made its debut, fans were beyond excited to get their hands on this rich, Freaker-infested world. From the massive Freaker hordes to the serene open roads, there is a lot for fans to be excited for with Days Gone. While some of the hype for Days Gone has fizzled out due to its numerous delays, the fact that the game has gone gold should finally get fans excited for Days Gone. Fans of titles like Left 4 Dead and The Last of Us will likely be excited for the various types of Freakers, like Screamers, Swarmers, Breakers, and many, many more.

The various trailers for Days Gone have given fans a slight taste of what to expect in the upcoming survival horror game, including the bike customization that players can find. The Drifter Bike is one of Deacon St. John's most valuable tools for surviving the apocalypse in the Pacific North-West. The bike can be customized with various upgrades to help outrun and outmaneuver the seemingly endless swarms of Freakers that Deacon will encounter on his journey. Deacon will also find various weapons and equipment to help him kill all the Freakers along the way.

Days Gone is shaping up to be one of the most exciting titles launching this year, and despite the delays, many fans are beyond excited to join Deacon St. John on his journey this April. Despite all the delays, fans only have a short while to go before they can finally get their hands on this game. Hopefully, when it launches it will live up to all the hype to make the delays worth it.

Days Gone launches exclusively for PS4 on April 26.
