Not too long ago, Sony and Bend Studio decided to give fans of the forthcoming action-adventure game Days Gone a primer in regards to what kind of content should be expected from the title by putting out the first hour of gameplay from the release. Now, the companies have offered up even more footage of in-game activities by sharing over 40 minutes of video that details some missions from the PlayStation 4 exclusive.

As seen in the video below courtesy of Game Informer, Days Gone fans can pick up where the last gameplay clip left off, as the latest footage shows players what's next for the main protagonist Deacon St. John after he leaves Copeland's camp. The new gameplay involves plenty of encounters with the action-adventure title's zombie-like Freaker enemies, some exploration of various environments, and situations related to missions that involve clearing out enemy camps and stemming the tide of Freaker infestations.

While some might be quick to dismiss Days Gone due to the seeming zombie genre overload as of late, Bend Studio is confident that fans of fine-honed narratives, well-crafted gameplay, and beautiful visuals will be more than surprised of what the forthcoming title can accomplish. As a matter of fact, creative director John Garvin recently explained that it's “not like any zombie game you’ve ever played.”

Should the gameplay unveiled thus far whet one's appetite for even more Days Gone, it looks as if there ought to be plenty of meat on the title's bones once it releases, for it might take players quite a long time to beat due to sizeable amount of content being offered. Hopefully, fans will receive an exact release date for Days Gone once E3 2018 rolls around, as Sony seems prepared to unleash a lot of big news during its press conference at this year's event.

Days Gone is currently set to launch at some point in 2019 for PlayStation 4.
