David Jaffe helped established multiple successful IPs for PlayStation but, following the reports that the Twisted Metal series might be rebooted without him so much as hearing about it, the game director-turned-YouTuber is upset over his exclusion. He revealed in a video posted to his channel today that he know's plenty of information that could harm Sony if he were to reveal it publicly and that he feels hurt that he wasn't made aware of the potential upcoming title.

In the video, Jaffe makes a point to say that he would never purposefully harm the individual teams working on projects under the PlayStation Studios umbrella, but that he knows a lot of the ins and outs of the company despite the end of their business relationship in 2018 and that it should have called him if the Twisted Metal revival is actually in the works.

While there's no official confirmation that a new Twisted Metal game is in development, rumor has it that Lucid Games, the studio behind the PS5 exclusive Destruction AllStars, is working on it. In his video, Jaffe said that he's "inclined to think" that the game is happening due to the Twisted Metal TV series that's also in production. The YouTuber explained that the studio behind the show has contacted him several times and that they have a good relationship, but that Sony has neglected to reach out.

"I know things. I know where the bodies are buried. Hell, I know who pulled the trigger before they buried the f****** bodies," Jaffe said in the video.

Please note that the following video uses some offensive language.

Jaffe states that he knew about a lot of the biggest Sony announcements this year before they were made official, but that he kept quiet out of respect for the people who work at the company. He seems to suggest that once his friends leave their respective studios and if Sony continues excluding him, he might be less tight-lipped in the future.

Clarifying, Jaffe points out that he no longer has a business relationship with Sony, but that it seems like the company should have reached out if it's working on a new game in the Twisted Metal series, a franchise that he created. He gives three reasons for why he might not have been contacted: the game isn't actually being made, the company simply didn't think to reach out, or that he's burned too many bridges there for them to give him a courtesy call.

Comparing his relationships, Jaffe said that hearing from the studio behind the Twisted Metal TV series is "a respectful and nice thing to do and I appreciated it," but that he "didn’t get that from the game people.” It's unclear what other classified Sony information Jaffe knows, but he seems like he might share some in the future if he feels like Sony has completely cut ties with him.

A new Twisted Metal game is rumored to be in production.
