First announced in May 2017, many gamers may be excited to finally get their hands on Darksiders 3, and it seems it could launch very soon. This exciting reveal follows yet another leak in the gaming industry, as recently Amazon leaked Bloodborne 2, Sunset Overdrive 2, and more.

However, instead of Amazon, this leak comes courtesy of the official Microsoft Store, which lists the release date of Darksiders 3 as November 26, 2018. One thing giving this leak some credibility is the fact that it's clearly not a placeholder date, as those typically fall at the end of the year. On the other hand, though, November 26 is a Monday, which is not the most popular day for release.

Since it's coming straight from Microsoft, though, it's more likely to be true, as the company could have just accidentally displayed the day of release early. It's worth noting that the release date is still up on the Microsoft Store at the time of this writing, although many expected it to quickly be taken down. Nevertheless, here's a screenshot:

The fact that the above date is still up on the store could suggest an official reveal is coming soon. Publisher THQ Nordic is expected to be at gamescom 2018 in August, so something could be learned then if not sooner, especially since the company skipped E3 2018 for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. At the very least, a comment on this leak, especially if it remains, should come in the next few days.

Until then, however, it's worth mentioning that neither Microsoft nor THQ Nordic has directly addressed this leak. While many Darksiders fans may be hoping its true, especially after the peek at its combat system a few months ago, it should be taken with a grain of salt. But since it's been over a year since the game was officially announced, a 2018 release wouldn't be surprising.

Darksiders 3 is rumored to launch November 26, 2018, for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
