Dark Souls: The Board Game takes the gritty action from the iconic video game and brings it to players' tables, but fans have had a problem with it recently. Namely, many of its expansions have been out of stock for a long time. While the base game is plenty fun, the expansions add new levels of depth to the game by allowing players to explore new areas, fight new bosses from other Dark Souls games, and even play as new characters. As of August 7th, developer Steamforged Games has revealed that the board game itself and all of its expansions are back in stock.

Players wanting to get certain expansions for Dark Souls: The Board Game would often have to pay exorbitant amounts of money for them on eBay or the like, but now they can all be purchased directly from the Steamforged Games website. Despite high demand for these expansions, the pricing has remained exactly the same.

At the time of writing, all 12 expansions (barring certain Kickstarter exclusives) are in stock and available for purchase on the Steamforged Games website. It's worth noting that players might still have a hard time purchasing certain expansions in languages other than English, however. This applies to the Character Expansion and the Phantoms Expansion which appear to only have restocked English versions. These two in particular were very difficult to get ahold of in the past, so it's great to see them back in stock and readily available.

Unfortunately, Steamforged Games didn't specify whether there are any limitations on this stock or how long these items will be available. Players may want to purchase these expansions as soon as possible, as there's no way of knowing if they will go out of stock again soon. Most of the Mega Boss and area expansions for Dark Souls: The Board Game have been steadily in stock, but the same can't be said for the Character Expansion and the Phantom Expansion. For those players that are curious, the Character Expansion includes six new playable character classes, those being Cleric, Deprived, Mercenary, Pyromancer, Sorcerer, and Thief. Each of these classes comes with new equipment to shuffle into the deck and a unique ability to use once per spark.

There's no word on whether or not more Dark Souls: The Board Game expansions are on the way, but Steamforged Games is currently working on Monster Hunter World: The Board Game. Although that Kickstarter has already ended, players can still do late pledges and get some rewards.

Dark Souls: The Board Game is available now.
