Bandai Namco Entertainment America officially releases a brand new gameplay trailer for action-RPG Dark Souls 3's forthcoming expansion pack, The Ringed City.
Ever since Dark Souls 3's next add-on had its name leak online about a month ago, fans of From Software's action-RPG trilogy have been clamoring for any and all information they could get, as the anticipation for what is set to be the title's last DLC has been mounting, with ardent supporters of the franchise expecting a showstopping sendoff for one of the top games of 2016. Now, just ahead of its release next month, Bandai Namco Entertainment America has officially put out new gameplay footage of the action-RPG's Ringed City DLC.
As seen below in the trailer courtesy of Bandai Namco Entertainment America's YouTube page, players should expect The Ringed City DLC to introduce new areas, weapons, enemies, items, abilities, and much more. For instance, the footage shows off a few different locations encounters to be included in the upcoming Dark Souls 3 expansion, including an experience with a flying, ethereal creature with the capacity to shoot lasers, a boss battle between a humongous flame beast with wings, as well as a long exploration sequence after dropping into the side of a building in a city straight out of M.C. Escher's dreams.

Not to mention, the latest Dark Souls 3 trailer for its Ringed City DLC features a look at some new dark plum-colored ghost baddies with the ability to change size and drag Ashen Ones into the underworld with them. Interestingly enough, there's even another variation of this specific monster, as there is also a type that can shoot flames from a shield and set its weapon ablaze during combat.
Those interested in Dark Souls 3's Ringed City DLC will be able to procure it on all platforms starting on March 28. Fans of the action-RPG title have one of two ways to purchase the expansion, as it costs $15 on its own as a standalone, or it can be gotten through the game's $25 season pass, which not only includes the Ringed City, but also gives players Dark Souls 3's initial expansion, Ashes of Ariandel.
In addition to the fresh trailer for Dark Souls 3's Ringed City DLC, fans of the game will also receive a patch for the game today with Update 1.10, which is set to fix bugs and glitches, including a rather bothersome issue that let players to get invaded during boss fights. While Update 1.10 definitely looks to include some helpful tweaks, as seen in the patch notes below, it's a safe bet to make that Dark Souls 3 fans would rather trade today's update for a chance to play The Ringed City DLC before it launches next month instead.
Dark Souls 3 Update 1.10 Patch Notes
- Fixed issue where a player could invade another player during a boss battle.
