Lapp is one of the few NPCs in the Ringed City DLC of Dark Souls 3. This NPC might seem like a normal character, but he is actually Patches. Well, at least he has the same appearance and gives players the same gesture during his quest.
After completing Lapp's quest in Dark Souls 3, players will end up getting his armor set and (if they don't have the Ashes of Airandel DLC) the Champion's Bones. The Champion's Bones can be burned in the bonfire at Firelink Shrine to allow players access to the Hollow Arena.
Find Lapp Twice
Lapp will be found in the first area of the DLC known as the Dreg Heap. While traversing this location, players will come across an old church with two Lothric Knights inside. When they enter, part of the church will collapse. Use this destroyed part of the church as a bridge to reach Lapp's first location. After speaking with him here, head to the Earthen Peak. Lapp will appear next near the bonfire there.
Find The Titanite Slab & Defeat The Boss
After talking to Lapp in Earthen Peak, he will request that players go find a titanite slab in the area. Once players reach the swamp area, they will see a cave. Inside is the titanite slab. If a player happens to die three times while attempting to get the shard, they can talk to Lapp and obtain it from him. After obtaining the slab and talking to Lapp, his summon sign will appear on the ledge leading to the Demon Prince boss fight. Defeat the boss and continue on.
Talk To Lapp Some More
After the boss fight, players need to make their way to the Ringed City Inner Wall. Lapp will spawn on a balcony near the bonfire there. Talk to him and then continue on to the next meeting.
Players will need to travel to the swamp section of the Inner Wall and head left. They will find a ladder that will take players to a new area. Here, they should locate the round room that is filled with chairs. Lapp will be sitting in one of the chairs. Talk to him to learn about the Purging Monument.
Find The Purging Monument
Go to the Ringed City Streets bonfire and complete the "show your humanity" puzzle. This is solved by going into the swamp and use a White Branch while standing in the water. This will turn the player into a Humanity. Go back to the puzzle room while in Humanity form to lower the ladder. Follow the route to find the Purging Monument. After locating it, travel back to Lapp and tell him where it is.
Meet With Lapp One Last Time
Now it is time for the last meeting with Lapp. He will now be located in the area past where players meet Midir for the first time. Keep progressing to reach the Shared Grave. Head down the stairs to find crumbling stones. Lapp will be in the room to the right. Do what he says and after he will drop his armor set and the Champion's Bones.
