That's no moon! A Dark Souls 3 streamer captures a perfect PVP ambush combining in-game footage with audio from Star Wars in what may be the best PVP kill yet.
Dark Souls 3 has captivated players from all around the globe for over a month now, with many players struggling to defeat several of the game's difficult bosses. While it's no secret that Dark Souls 3 is one of the most difficult games out there, it also provides a very enjoyable and satisfying experience (read our review here). That being said, many players make choices in the game that they instantly regret, and today's story demonstrates one of those times.
While the series contains no shortage of downright horrifying enemies, sometimes a player's biggest enemy is simply other humans. One nefarious player decided he was going to invade another player's world, but what he didn't count on was that this player was named InfernoPlus. InfernoPlus wasn't just ready: he had a whole squad of friends ready to dispatch this invader. What followed next was probably the greatest takedown we've seen yet in Dark Souls 3.
Without further ado, here's the scene in question:
Using audio from Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope, InfernoPlus puts a great spin on a classic scene from the movie which features the destruction of Alderaan via the Death Star. Alderaan is replaced in this instance by a lone invader, and instead of multiple lasers from the moon-sized battle station, said invader were instantly dispatched by three simeltaneous blasts of Soul Stream.
We have to imagine the invader took a deep breath, turned off his console, and went for a good walk afterwards. At the very least, he isn't the only player to fall victim to some clever traps. The fact that host player was taking a bow while his friends absolutely obliterated the would-be invader is icing on the proverbial cake.
We'll take some points off of the player for not using the proper Duel Bow gesture, though.
For those struggling to keep afloat in the dangerous world that is Dark Souls 3, there's a video which demonstrates some helpful tips and tricks that should help players stay alive longer than the poor invader did. It goes without saying that it's a good idea to watch out for traps in the game, especially when invading another player's world - sometimes they bring friends, and sometimes those friends imitate the Death Star itself (if you're really unlucky).
What do you think about the ambush, Ranters?
Dark Souls 3 is currently available for PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
