With Dark Souls 3's director and From Software President Hidetaka Miyazaki recently declaring that the series is done for now, it looks like the developer has now decided to compile all that the third entry in the franchise has to offer in a complete package called The Fire Fades Edition–which is out now–in order to celebrate the game's contents. As a matter of fact, in order to further promote the comprehensive iteration of the title, its publisher at Bandai Namco Entertainment has put out a launch trailer showcasing some of the most memorable moments from the base game and its DLC.

As seen below in the launch trailer for Dark Souls 3: The Fire Fades Edition, not only does the footage provide an overview of all that From Software put into the action-RPG, but also it highlights the game's myriad awards and critical acclaim, as many outlets–including us here at Game Rant–heaped a good deal of praise upon the title when it came out in 2016. As a matter of fact, we included it in our list of the top games of 2016.

The launch trailer for Dark Souls 3: The Fire Fades Edition implores fans of the notorious difficult action-RPG series to embrace the darkness and pick up the compendium for $50. As far as price points go, considering that the total package contains the base game, as well as the two expansions of The Ashes of Ariandel and The Ringed City DLC, it's definitely a great value for any gamer who has yet to give it a go.

Of course, while the release of Dark Souls 3: The Fire Fades Edition officially signals what could be the final utterance from the franchise for quite some time, fans shouldn't fret when it comes to the future of From Software. As it happens, the developer has plenty of irons in the fire at the moment, with studio head Hidetaka Miyazaki's primary goal being to best the Souls series with new projects. With this being the case, Dark Souls 3 fans should expect some exciting, if not groundbreaking titles to make their way out of the developer's workshop as time marches on.

Dark Souls 3: The Fire Fades Edition is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
