Now that From Software has put the finishing brush strokes on Dark Souls 3 in the from of its final DLC, the game has gone on a timely sale for those looking to pick up the title on Steam. Namco has dropped by price by 50%, making it a great opportunity for gamers who haven't explored the Kingdom of Lothric yet to do so. This flash sale is set to run until Friday, April 7, so fans still have a few days to decide if they'd like to pick up a digital copy of Dark Souls 3.

For those who want the full experience that only the additional DLC content from both Ashes of Ariandel and The Ringed City can offer, Namco has also slashed the price of the deluxe edition of Dark Souls 3 by 35%, which brings it down to $55.23. This edition includes the full game combined with a season pass which grants access to all of the aforementioned DLC, the latter of which has only been out for a week.

In our review for Dark Souls 3 , we posit that the game offers some great twists to a tried-and-true combat system, though newbies to the series should recognize that every entry to the series lives up to its expectation of intense difficulty. The game isn't for the faint of heart, through true masters of the craft may eventually find ways to beat the game by, say, using a banana as a controller, like one player has done recently.

Franchise director Hidetaka Miyazaki has stated that Dark Souls 3 represents the studio's last addition to the Dark Souls franchise for now, confirming that From Software will soon be focusing on a different intellectual property for the foreseeable future. Still, the sale comes at a great time for fans new and old to see what the latest entry to the franchise has to offer.

Interested gamers can find the game on sale through Steam. Console gamers won't have any access to the unexpected discounts.
