The ever-expanding universe of the Dark Pictures Anthology is a curious place filled with time travel, ghosts of the past, monsters, and more. Within each universe, Supermassive Games sometimes hides easter eggs or references to their previous games. These may be as small as a town sign in the background, or something as obvious as a familiar face.

The Dark Pictures Anthology makes no effort in hiding the fact that many of their characters' face models are recurring. Perhaps this is a hint at each story taking place in an alternate universe, or maybe it's simply a fun easter egg for fans. Here are all the reused face models in the Dark Pictures Anthology, so far. (Note that this excludes any face models that are used only as doubles within Little Hope (such as Andrew's model being used as Anthony and Abraham) and are not used within any other Dark Pictures titles.)

Warning: Spoilers Ahead!

11 Radio Operator, Reverend Simon Carver, & Reverend Leonard Carson

Dark Pictures Anthology Radio Operator Reused Face Model

It may be easy to miss this particular model in Man of Medan. After all, the radio operator doesn't get a whole lot of screen time before meeting his untimely demise near the beginning of the game.

However, Reverend Carver and Carson are much more familiar faces to Dark Pictures fans as these two characters have much more of a prominent role in the Little Hope story. Although this male character model has appeared in the first two installments of the Dark Pictures series, it was absent in House Of Ashes.

10 Joeseph Roberts & Jason Kolcheck

Dark Pictures Anthology Joe Roberts Reused Face Model

Fitness enthusiast and model Jack Green lent the Dark Pictures series his dashing good looks in both Man of Medan and House Of Ashes. Green's likeliness appears in the first installment as Private Joe Roberts at the beginning of the game, and once again (this time with a much more substantial role) in the third installment as Lieutenant Jason Kolchek.

This is another model that may be difficult to catch the first time around. Private Roberts merely serves as a prologue in his game, while Lieutenant Kolchek takes a leading role in his story.

9 Bradley Smith, Alex Smith, & Nick Kay

Dark Pictures Anthology Brad Smith Reused Face Model

Man Of Medan's Brad and Alex are brothers, so it's only natural they share the same base model who happens to be the handsome UK-based model, Tom Weston. Although Weston's likeliness was absent during the second Dark Pictures installment, Little Hope, he made a return in House Of Ashes.

Weston's model was once again used in the third installment, this time as the very brave and capable Sergeant Nick Kay. Perhaps Supermassive Games will have Weston's likeliness return once again in their last installment of the first season, The Devil In Me.

8 Isaac Worel, Police Officer, & Eric King

Dark Pictures Anthology Isaac Worel Reused Face Model

It's likely that fans of the series recognized Colonel Eric King's face model from House Of Ashes retroactively after returning to the previous titles as the roles his model was used in were rather minor ones.

The charming model Dawid Kocieda was used as the face model for Eric King, as well as the police officer that speaks to the bus driver at the beginning of Little Hope. He also appeared as Marshal Isaac Worel during the flashbacks to the witch trials in the '60s.

7 Joseph Lambert, James T. Clarke, John, & Dar Basri

Dark Pictures Anthology Joseph Lambert Reused Face Model

Professor John had ample screen time during Little Hope, both as himself and his mysterious "doubles." Joseph Lambert was the "double" who appeared during the witch trial flashbacks in the '60s, and James Clarke showed up during the flashbacks to protagonist Anthony's past.

This made recognizing the House Of Ashes antagonist, Captain Dar of the Iraqi Republican Guard, rather easy for long-time fans of the series. After spending time with John and his doubles all over Little Hope, Dar was likely one of the most easily recognizable reused character models within the series.

6 Charlie Anderson, David Milton, Dennis Clarke, Daniel, & Joey Gomez

Dark Pictures Anthology Charlie Andersone Reused Face Model

Talented writer and actor Jonathan Burteaux served as the base model for the many characters in the Dark Pictures Anthology, and has been present in all three games in the series. Burteaux was the face model for Charlie at the beginning of Man Of Medan; however, he didn't get much time in the spotlight as he was only used for the prologue.

RELATED: Dark Pictures: Choices Not To Make In Little Hope

In Little Hope (the game in which he had the most screentime), he was Daniel in the present day, and David and Dennis in the flashbacks to the past. Unfortunately, his role as Joey in House Of Ashes doesn't leave him a whole lot of time to shine, as he doesn't survive for very long.

5 Danny, Thomas Wyman, Passerby, & Nathan Merwin

Dark Pictures Anthology Danny Reused Face Model

Merwin's character in House Of Ashes stood out due to his rather abrasive personality. However, underneath it all was a soldier that still cared about pulling his weight on his team. It's likely that most fans recognized Merwin's character model after going back to previous titles, as his roles in Man Of Medan and Little Hope aren't as prominent.

Merwin's face model was also used as Danny, one of Olsen's henchmen. It was also used for Judge Wyman in the witch trials, and the passerby that finds a devastated Anthony in the game's prologue.

4 Glamour Girl, Tabitha Milton, Tanya Clarke, Taylor, & Clarice Stokes

Dark Pictures Anthology Glamour Girl Reused Face Model

The beautiful and incredibly talented model, stunt woman, and personal trainer Eleni Miariti has served as a face model throughout each installment of the Dark Pictures series so far.

She was the elusive (and terrifying) Glamour Girl in Man Of Medan, played Tabitha (in the witch trials), Tanya (in Anthony's flashback), Taylor in Little Hope, and returned once again as the snarky Dr. Clarice in House Of Ashes. Hopefully, fans will see her once again in the season one finale, The Devil In Me.

3 Olson, Vincent Barnes (present), & Balathu

Dark Pictures Anthology Olson Reused Face Model

Olson, the main antagonist in Man Of Medan, and also served as character models in both Little Hope and House Of Ashes. In Little Hope, Olson's face model returns as a present-day Vincent Barnes, better known as the "stranger" for most of the game until the reveal of the ending. Vincent was Tanya's boyfriend at the time of the fire shown in the prologue.

He then returns once again (this time once again just for the prologue) in House Of Ashes, as Balathu. With the proper choices, this Akkadian general comes back from the dead to terrorize the group of protagonists.

2 Junior, Vincent Barnes (past), & Kurum

Dark Pictures Anthology Junior Reused Face Model

London-based actor and model Michael Addo lent his dashing good looks to Junior, one of the few antagonists in Man Of Medan and once again to the younger Vincent Barnes (Tanya's boyfriend) in Little Hope.

His character model returned once again for the prologue of House Of Ashes as Kurum, the imprisoned Gutian that. Similar to the entry above, the proper choices will lead to him eventually rising from the dead as a vampire to terrorize Colonel Eric King and his team.

1 Felicite "Fliss" DuBois & ???

Dark Pictures Anthology Fliss Reused Face Model

Fliss is one of the five playable characters in Man Of Medan and is the skipper of the boat the group of protagonists rent, the Duke of Milan. Fliss' face model hasn't been seen for a while, but in a special premonition found within House Of Ashes, players can find a small glimpse into the next Dark Pictures installment.

In the special premonition, fans see Fliss' character model make a return. Whether this is as Fliss again or another completely new character, fans will have to wait and see.
