Daredevil was recently confirmed to be coming back to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) by Marvel Studios' president Kevin Feige, but many wanted to know what would happen to the other heroes from the Marvel shows that streamed on Netflix. After all, Daredevil isn't the only character fans asked for, but Feige did give a slight bit of hope for the other Defenders.

Charlie Cox is a fan favorite amongst Marvel fans. Many people gravitated towards his take on Daredevil because he brought a lot of depth to the role and made it convincing that he really was Matt Murdock. During conversations, Cox wouldn't make eye contact, wouldn't blink, and in fight scenes, he would fight people without facing them. His show started the Netflix run of Marvel television shows that brought Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and The Punisher.

During an interview with Screen Rant, Feige said, "I always say that whenever a character comes back into the Marvel sandbox, it becomes another tool in the storytelling ability of the MCU." Unfortunately, Feige didn't t rule anything out or confirm any more Defenders joining Daredevil the MCU. "As I said before, the good news is, all will be revealed when people actually finally watch," he said. All fans need to know is that these characters are an option for Marvel Studios to use at some point.

Netflix's Marvel shows did very well with critics and in terms of ratings (some seasons better than others), but the overall consensus was that Daredevil was a necessary addition to the MCU, as were the other characters. They all bring a different side of the Marvel universe that is darker than the often glorified or lighthearted superhero world shown in the MCU movies. Whether it's battling the corrupted police force, fighting a supernatural stalker, fighting the mob, handling structural poverty in Harlem, or fighting a hidden organization that pulls strings behind the scenes, Netflix's Marvel shows all showed how ugly the world really is.

While the Avengers are fighting aliens from outer space, these heroes are helping out "the little man," and both sides are needed. This is why fans wanted to know when they can see Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and the rest again.

Regarding what to watch for is unclear. Many think an upcoming project will feature one of these heroes. Fans have narrowed it down to Hawkeye or Spider-Man: No Way Home, as some think Vincent D’Onofrio Kingpin will appear in the former while Daredevil will show up in the latter. Only time will tell, but right now it seems like everybody's wishes are getting answered when it comes to the world of Marvel crossovers.
