All three games will receive an overhaul to the interface to better suit mobile screens which include the addition of improved touch controls. Mobile players will also get rerelease bonuses including event, voice, and art galleries. This is the first release of a Danganronpa game since the polarizing Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony released in 2017.

Danganronpa 2

Danganronpa is not an easy franchise to summarize. It is a visual novel favorite that matches high school high jinx in a deadly game of murder, lies and courtroom battles. The games are broken up into three distinct sections with story, investigation, and the big hook of the games being the "trials." As classmates meet an often grizzly end, it is left to the players to uncover the truth through inconsistencies and evidence in a courtroom setting. All this while a murderous troll of a mechanical bear named Monokuma makes life for the cast of high school students a living hell.

This announcement comes just over a month away from publisher Spike Chunsoft's first big anniversary broadcast for the franchise. The original Danganronpa released 10 years ago on exclusively on the PlayStation Vita until being released on Steam in 2016. The announcement of the mobile versions is likely the first step to much bigger things. The first monthly broadcast is set for May 21 and is one fans should keep and eye on.

No release date has been announced for the Danganronpa mobile versions but the entire franchise is available on PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 4 and PC.
