Recent rumors that Daisy Ridley might someday join the MCU as Spider-Woman have captured the imaginations of fans everywhere. But at least one of those fans has decided that imagination isn't enough, and now everyone else has been treated to a glimpse of what such a casting just might look like.

Artist ApexForm created a rather visceral piece visualizing Ridley as the spider-based superhero (one of them, anyway), giving the actress a look of disheveled accomplishment. Since the idea of her taking the role of Spider-Woman is little more than a rumor at this point, this artwork is currently as close as fans can get to seeing the Star Wars star in full webby costume. But it's got a lot of character to it, which makes up for its fictional nature.

"Ridley recently stated that she would 'LOVE' to join the MCU," ApexForm explained on their Instagram post. "So I had to make a render to see what she would look like as a battle stricken spider woman. And i am here for it!!!" The piece gives Daisy Ridley a rather wild look in her eyes, whether from relief after a long battle or adrenaline keeping her pumped, and it almost makes her kind of look similar to the proud and outspoken Kristen Stewart, which certainly isn't a bad thing. The artwork itself seems to depict one of the most recent Spider-Woman suits, albeit with a few tweaks like a utility belt, which feels like a practical addition Marvel might offer.

The idea of Daisy Ridley taking the role of Spider-Woman works on several levels. Aside from how natural she looks in ApexForm's artwork, the most prominent of the many heroes to take the name is the London-born Jessica Drew (whose latest costume is depicted in ApexForm's piece). Hailing from London herself, that gives Ridley one more level of connection to the character, should Marvel choose to pursue that particular version. Plus, even though Ridley has expressed interest in returning to Star Wars one day, that day still seems to be far off. Sure, she hasn't exactly slowed down as an actress since her time as Rey Nobody (it's still a good name) came to an end, and still keeps getting good, steady work. But another high-profile, long-running character almost seems inevitable for someone of her acting prowess.

Considering how well-received Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse ended up being, it would feel like a waste not to continue exploring the various dimensions of spider-based superheroes (the number of which is surprisingly vast). Spider-Woman is just one of many who could really make waves, and that's not even to mention the extra bit of inclusivity that would come with her own movie. Granted, female superheroes have been becoming far more prominent lately, but they still haven't quite reached the full equality stage, and that's a good goal to aim for, or even surpass.

Ridley said herself that she feels lucky as an actress, so here's hoping that luck continues for the foreseeable future. If that luck just so happens to include a greenlit Spider-Woman film, even better.
