Marvelous' gritty third-person mech shooter Daemon X Machina just celebrated its one year anniversary last month. And although the game was received with generally mixed reviews, support has been shown for the game throughout the year in the form of a variety of updates and DLC.

While Daemon X Machina initially released on Nintendo Switch last September, it released on PC this past February. XSEED Games, publisher of the game on PC, has announced that cross-save functionality for seamless cloud save data transfer between the Nintendo Switch and PC versions of the game has been enabled through the Steam Cloud.

While the Nintendo Switch already allows for players to enjoy the game both at home and portably on the go, this update will certainly be useful for anyone who is looking to experience Daemon X Machina on both platforms. Players can now opt to play on a high-powered PC at home, and then continue their playthrough on the go on their Nintendo Switch.

This new update comes just about a month after Daemon X Machina's first-anniversary update from November, which added cosmetics such as Arsenal decals and designs, a new "Destroy Eclipse RT: Ω Destruction" co-op Order, and even more unlockable content. Just about a year ago, the game released its third cross-over DLC featuring content based on The Witcher 3, in addition to DLC based on the anime Code Geass and Eureka Seven.

Though the end of the year is rapidly approaching, it seems that game developer Marvelous is intent on continuing to add new content for players of Daemon X Machina to enjoy on both Nintendo Switch and PC. It will be interesting to see what the developer has in store for the game next in 2021.

Daemon X Machina is available for PC and Switch.
