Earlier today in London, EA was showcasing a number of new gameplay additions to a world of hungry gamers. One of these announcements came in a sizable portion: Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is getting some premium DLC, entitled Onslaught.
Developer Digital Illusions (affectionately known as DICE) could have simply stated that the DLC was coming soon, but also offered a demonstration to answer the question everyone was asking – what exactly is it?
Onslaught is a cooperative game mode that contains 4 different objective-based missions on some of the games current maps (Valparaiso, Atacama Desert, Isle Inocentes and Nelson Bay). Some maps have been edited for the missions, including the addition of sandstorms as well as changes into a nighttime map to keep the juices pumpin’. Up to 4 players will play cooperatively against a horde of computer-controlled enemies who will be trying to prevent players from completing their given objectives. Don’t think your opposition will just be on foot, though – they’ll be using everything from tanks to armored boats as well.
The DLC will add 8 achievements, but they haven’t been revealed yet – and the same goes for the price. In the meantime, here’s the official trailer to feast your eyes on:
What do you think of Onslaught? Are you thinking of getting it, Bad Company 2 fans?
