The developer of Granblue Fantasy: Relink reveals a brand-new trailer for the highly anticipated cooperative action-RPG. This trailer was shown off at Granblue Fes 2023, a special event held by Cygames that is focused on the Granblue Fantasy mobile game IP and its related spin-offs. This includes special events such as a concert, Q&A and more. This included new information about a sequel to Granblue Fantasy Versus, along with a playable demo for Relink on the show floor.

For the uninitiated, Grandblue Fantasy: Relink is an action-RPG that was originally announced in 2017 and started out as a collaboration between Cygames and PlatinumGames. That changed in 2019, as it was then brought back to be developed in-house by Cygames instead. It had gone through a rather protracted development cycle, where it was hit by delay after delay, pushing it all the way to 2023. Cygames announced that fans should expect more about Relink at Granblue Fes 2023, where fans were rewarded for their patience with a brand-new trailer.

This is the "second" trailer after the game's rebooted development, which starts off by showing the various locales that fans will find in the world of Grandblue Fantasy: Relink. Not only that, many of the game's characters were also shown off, such as companions Lyria and Vyrn, along with allied party members like Rosetta, Katalina, and Eugen. The conflict is set up by the Church of Avia pursuing the skyfarers, with the party even meeting one of the three generals from the Church, Id.

The action-RPG gameplay was also shown off in this trailer, utilizing a wide variety of party members and their abilities in Granblue Fantasy: Relink, such as Eugen's gunplay, the magic-based moveset of Io, or Katalina's knightly style that combines swordplay and phantom images. A lot of other party members got a chance to shine in this trailer as well, showing off a variety of elemental special moves that can be used to finish an opponent off.

Locations and environments of the game are quite diverse as well, where players will visit a giant volcano that is inhabited by a dragon-like beast, a castle made completely of ice, wind-swept ruins, and many more. Some new party members were also shown off in this trailer as well, such as the fan-favorite Narmaya. The trailer ends with shots of the three generals of the Church of Avia, along with a targeted worldwide release window of 2023. This trailer also serves to confirm the game will have an English dub option, much like Granblue Fantasy: Versus before it.

Granblue Fantasy: Relink will launch in 2023 worldwide for PC, PS4, and PS5.
