As the team revealed,
We aim to make weapon interactions as exciting as they can be. Our game will launch with more than 260 unique weapon combinations, not including skin customizations, which is more than any other existing battle royale game.
Weapons also have a number of possible modifications. Although it is currently unknown what these weapon modifications do and how they make each weapon unique, it seems there are many weapon choices and customizations for players to get their hands on. There is a limited number of each weapon that all players will have a chance to loot across Teardrop Island. The rarity of each weapon is not only based on its look but also on the individual stats it possesses. Players then have the opportunity to trade their weapons and their attachments in our marketplace if they choose to do so.
Although the nature of these trading opportunities in Off the Grid's marketplace wasn't discussed, it's likely weapon rarity may set up some tough competition in combat or when acquiring some of the game's most rare or elusive weaponry. It's also interesting that players may get the opportunity to trade attachments. Although trading might not necessarily appeal to all gamers, it's ideal that this is an optional feature, without excluding those who want to get hold of the game's best weapons but who hopefully may still get to show them off somehow.
