With Cyberpunk 2077 now set to launch on December 10, many are likely considering purchasing the game alongside their PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X. The title will provide an enhanced experience for next-generation console owners in 2021, with CD Projekt Red promising that a future update will ensure the game utilizes the power of both platforms.

Luckily for those looking to play Cyberpunk 2077 on either new console, the studio has released a gameplay trailer showcasing what the game will look like on the Xbox Series X in a recent Night City Wire clip. The trailer shifts between both the Xbox One X and Xbox Series X versions of the game, giving a better look at Cyberpunk's visuals, world, and combat.

The footage begins with V investigating a missing person's case, with the adventure seeing them explore the seedy underbelly of Night City. Along the way, a number of Cyberpunk's story and gameplay mechanics are shown off in full, with V driving a car through the city streets, interacting with Keanu Reeves' Johnny Silverhand, and interrogating persons of interest to find the location of the missing victim. The case winds up leading to numerous bars and brothels, with V getting into some scraps with local thugs and robots.

The combat looks to build on what's been highlighted in previous demos, as V fires a variety of guns, throws grenades, dodges attacks, and even slices one enemy's head off with a katana. The footage makes plenty clear that players can approach Cyberpunk's scenarios in any way they see fit though, with one section highlighting an interaction between V and a group of thugs guarding a door. The leader mocks the protagonist, with the player able to retort through four distinct options. V in the demo chooses to start a fight with the thugs, annihilating them in a brutal battle, although players could attempt to reason with the pack or intimidate them.

The sequence ends with V using braindance to jump into the mind of the victim, with the clip showing a large masked man strapping them to a chair and uploading what appears to be a deadly virus into their brain. It's another in a long line of Cyberpunk 2077 clips which show off the game's world and the intriguing mysteries that lie within it, while also highlighting the visual upgrade that can be expected while playing on an Xbox Series X.

Cyberpunk 2077 is set to release December 10, 2020 for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with a free next-gen upgrade planned for the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
