Cyberpunk 2077 has undergone a number of patches, updates, and withdrawals since its tumultuous launch in 2020. Cyberpunk 2077's most recent patch, labeled 1.23, highlights the numerous issues that the game has had since its launch and the repairs made to them.

More patch note updates have arrived off the heels of the news that Cyberpunk 2077 will be re-releasing onto the PlayStation Store. Similar to patch 1.23, many of Cyberpunk 2077's previous patch fixes have been concentrated toward important glitches or bugs that impede players' progress. In addition to fixes like that, this patch also address character models being able to clip through environments, such as "an issue where Jackie could go through glass."

Cyberpunk 2077's 1.23 patch update brings with it numerous fixes throughout many different facets of the game. The patch is stated to fix issues pertaining to quests and the open world, gameplay, and visuals. For example, an issue has been fixed that made opening Dakota's garage door impossible during the No Fixers Gig. Other issues relating to stability and performance are fixed as part of the 1.23 patch, including "animations, UI, scene, physics, and gameplay systems." PC-specific and Xbox-specific issues are also addressed, with particular concerns relating to Steam setups and the Xbox's pause menu.

An insider leak of an internal Cyberpunk 2077 bug montage has further stirred controversy about the extent to which CD Projekt Red was aware of just how many issues the game would have upon launch. With the number of in-game bugs being so plentiful even six months after Cyberpunk 2077's launch, it appears unlikely that many of the bugs throughout performance and visuals across all platforms could be overlooked. However, it is fortunate that CD Projekt Red has demonstrated its dedication to fans in its efforts toward repairing Cyberpunk 2077.

There have also been controversies circulating around whether Cyberpunk 2077 would receive a multiplayer mode at some point in the future. But perhaps CD Projekt Red wishes to rectify its errors and satisfy fans of the base game before unveiling more about a multiplayer function, if it is even still in development. Fans who are disappointed with Cyberpunk 2077's current condition will hopefully receive the experience they had anticipated when enough patches have been issued.

Nonetheless, fans may be relieved to see that CD Projekt Red has continued to actively patch and fix Cyberpunk 2077's hindrances. It may not be a surprise, then, if Cyberpunk 2077's free downloadable content is delayed while developers attempt to fix the remaining issues the game has. Meanwhile, Cyberpunk 2077's 1.23 patch update, and its respective fixes, are now live across all platforms.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available now on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions also in development.
