There are plenty of details to be seen inside Cyberpunk 2077, with  no shortage of hidden references found throughout the game as well. However, one Cyberpunk 2077 player believes that he found a major slip-up with one of these details, as a misspelled word can seemingly be seen throughout the whole game.

This would hardly be the first issue that players have found within Cyberpunk 2077, as fans have stumbled upon a seemingly endless number of glitches and bugs since the game’s launch. From trees appearing everywhere to bugged out cars, Cyberpunk 2077’s plentiful glitches have been a mixture of funny and frustrating for the game’s community. One Cyberpunk 2077 player believes he found another minor issue to add to the list, this time being a typo that is seen throughout the entirety of the game’s story quests and side missions.

While the issue is hardly game-breaking, fans quickly flocked to a post from SomeOrdinaryGamers host Mutahar. According to the content creator, players can find the word “delivery” spelled wrong on several terminals throughout Night City, an issue that he did not notice himself until he had played through the game for several hours. Laughing about the prevalence of the word inside Cyberpunk 2077, Mutahar’s post quickly amassed 20,000 likes and hundreds of comments joking about the issue. However, CD Projekt Red points out that the typo is not actually a typo after all.

A direct reply from the official Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account clarifies the misspelling, describing it as a fully intentional decision on the part of CD Projekt Red. As it turns out, the name of the company that owns the delivery lockers is actually Devilry. A play on words that gives the company a bit of personality, this bit of content explains the misspelling. While the explanation seems to be enough for some fans, others feel like this “play on words” was simply a clever way for CD Projekt Red to explain away another issue.

The parcel company having the name Devilry does make sense within the game’s universe, though, as one of Cyberpunk 2077’s main focuses is on corporations. As such, giving even a small company a bit more personality through a clever name fits with the game’s messaging and narrative focus. While it is easy to understand why Mutahar and other gamers believed this was a typo and another issue with the game, it seems that it is instead a subtle detail that adds a bit more character to a game that is already full of it.

While the game’s messy launch is unprecedented and inexcusable, ensuring that Cyberpunk 2077 will likely never be what fans want, there are still some positive aspects of the game. As shown by this devilish bit of branding, world-building is undeniably one of them.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions coming in 2021.
