Cyberpunk 2077 will feature a gang called the Tyger Claws, new images have suggested. The Tyger Claws is one of several criminal groups that players will see in Night City as CD Projekt RED has also confirmed gangs like the Voodoo Boys.

A new video from Cyberpunk 2077 YouTuber Madqueen Show reveals that CD Projekt RED may have confirmed that the Tyger Claws gang will be in the game before an official announcement. An artist named Death Burger posted a piece of art they created for the Cyberpunk 2077 steelbook on Artstation. The art shows the Tyger Claws, the Voodoo Boys, Maelstrom and Valentinos.

The members of the Tyger Claws are heavily tattooed and two of them are holding katanas. Madqueen says that this is because the Tyger Claws like close combat much more than guns and they wear light armor, which could make them easy to take down for any player with a powerful rifle. CD Projekt RED has confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 will have several different types of weapon to choose from so there will be several potential ways to successfully fight Tyger Claws gang members.

Tyger Claws

Another suggestion that the Tyger Claws will be in Cyberpunk 2077 comes from the game's official store. CD Projekt RED is selling a Tyger Claws poster as part of its Night City Gangs series. The poster shows members of the gang "Riding out from the heart of Japantown in a psychedelic blur". Japantown is the Night City district called Westbrook and if it looks like that much fun, players could potentially want to spend a huge amount of time there.

Mike Pondsmith, who created the Cyberpunk 2020 board game, may have also teased that the Tyger Claws will be in Cyberpunk 2077. On Reddit, Pondsmith suggested that players could feature an exciting quest about a character called Michiko. Michiko is part of the Arusaka family and the Arusaka corporation is rumored to be funding the Tyger Claws. If that quest is in the game, players could potentially get the support of the Tyger Claws and the Arusaka corporation if they help to bring Michiko back.

In Cyberpunk 2020, the Tyger Claws are called the Tyger's Claw and it's unclear why CD Projekt RED has changed the name of the gang for the game. The developer will be keeping many features from the board game but is able to make changes and fans will be hoping that this is the only thing that has been changed about the gang.

Cyberpunk 2077 is launching on September 17 for GeForce Now, PC, PS4, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
