Cyberpunk 2077's recent update has brought a variety of changes to Night City. Patch 1.3 included some quest-specific bug fixes, improved NPC driving, and even added free Cyberpunk cosmetic DLC. But one of the best additions to the game involves an impressive method for farming money. Not only is it one of the best ways for players to earn eddies, it’s also completely legitimate.

In short, the process involves purchasing materials from vendors, crafting weapons from the supplies, and then selling them back for a higher price. Players have explored similar money-making tactics in the past, but this particular method is unique in that it involves one of Cyberpunk 2077's legendary weapons. Specifically, the Tsunami Ashura sniper rifle. The rifle plan can be found during the side gig Small Man Big Evil, or by a random drop. After collecting the plan, players will need to find or purchase materials in order to craft the rifle. Once the player has upgraded their crafting skill high enough, they can craft the Ashura rifle, which can be sold back to any vendor for a significantly higher price. In short, this method allows players to make over 5,000 eddies per minute.

The Reddit user who discovered the method, MrBeast9000, earned over 800K in just under three hours. Other players have reported earning just as much with other items, such as the Nekomata rifle or the Epic Evening Jacket. Better yet, the same method also works post-game, provided that the player has enough points invested in crafting. Considering the importance that currency plays in Night City, from new weapons to additional character upgrades, this money-making method is one of the best updates from Cyberpunk's latest patch.

However, despite being one of the fastest (and most legitimate) ways to earn eddies, it still requires a bit of work from the player. Anyone looking to use this farming method will need to be consistent with their crafting upgrades, in addition to receiving the proper quest items. Fortunately, for those looking for a less conventional, but just as quick method, Cyberpunk’s 1.3 update adds an entirely separate exploit to farm currency.

Sadly, Cyberpunk's latest patch still has a few issues. Players have discovered a variety of bugs since the latest update, most of which are entirely new. From floating cars to invisible NPCs, Cyberpunk is still a long way from CDPR's original promise. But with additional developers joining the team, and more updates on the way, there's still hope for Night City to truly come to life.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, while PS5 Xbox Series X upgrades are currently in development.
