Cyberpunk 2077 lets players customize their character with cybernetic enhancements and weapons, and these can then be further customized with mods. Though most of the weaponry players find and use throughout their time in the game will be made for the express purpose of killing people, there are some non-lethal options such as the tranquilizer rounds for the Projectile Launch System.

Players that get this modification will be able to use their Projectile Launch System Cyberware to incapacitate foes without killing them, something that can be very useful in certain situations. That said, obtaining it can be a bit expensive for players early on in Cyberpunk 2077, and there are some other drawbacks to this mod as well.

Once equipped, the mod can be switched out for another mod at any time, so players don't have to feel locked in to this decision. With that in mind, it's certainly worth getting and having on hand as an extremely effective way to tranquilize enemies and remove them from a fight quickly. Other mods like the Animals Knuckles make the Gorilla Fists more deadly, but this one makes the Projectile Launch System less deadly.

In order to get the Tranquilizer Rounds, players will need to locate a specific Ripperdoc and buy it. This Ripperdoc is located in Heywood right next to the Palms View Plaza fast travel point. After warping there, locate the big sign that says BD Shack and follow the sidewalk underneath it. The Ripperdoc is on the left side past the vending machines and has a large, neon sign that says Doc Ryder on it. Inside, players need to talk to the Ripperdoc and go to the Trade tab.

The Tranquilizer Rounds are available for purchase, and as a rare mod it only costs 540 Eurodollars. After buying the Tranquilizer Rounds, it can be equipped in the Cyberware Inventory page as a mod to the Projectile Launch System. Now anytime players fire this weapon, it will do a small amount of damage but cause living targets to go unconscious, rendering them incapacitated.

Unfortunately, the Projectile Launch System still causes a loud explosion and draws the attention of nearby police and other enemies. This seems counter-intuitive to the design of a Tranquilizer Round, and is somewhat immersion breaking feature of Cyberpunk 2077 as enemies get hit by a massive explosion only to suffer 10-20 damage and pass out. Whether or not this is a deal breaker is up to the player, but the ability to incapacitate enemies this quickly is very helpful.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available now on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, and later on PS5 and Xbox Series X.
