Fans finally got their first real look at Cyberpunk 2077 during E3 2018, with an exciting trailer that helped flesh out the gritty world that CD Projekt Red has been working on since at least 2016. The futuristic setting of Cyberpunk 2077 will allow players to design the protagonist, V, in almost any way they want. With plenty of cyberpunk influence, the world is full of neon lights, seedy black market dealings, human augmentation, and several characters that can be romanced. Today, one fan took it upon himself to ask CD Projekt Red if the explicit sexual encounters will be interactive like the infamous Hot Coffee minigame in San Andreas, though he didn't get the answer he may have expected.

To be fair, Cyberpunk 2077 is going to be chock full of both nudity complicated romance options. In a recent interview, quest designer Patrick Mills revealed that players will be able to carve out V's sexuality for themselves should they choose to explore that path. That means players can enter relationships - monogamous or otherwise - which can either be one-off encounters or events that continue throughout the entire game. Given that The Witcher 3 was confined to heterosexual options, many players are likely to be excited by the open canvas of romance options provided by CD Projekt Red.

While the original question from DomPierre20 has since been deleted, gamers can find the text from it posted below along with CD Projekt Red's gif-based answer. After all, nothing says "Dude" like an image from The Dude himself, casting judgment in a way that says only a White Russian will make things better:

"Will we have fully interactive sex scenes with the romances and one night stands? being able to switch different and all kinds of sex positions and what not?"

For his part, Dom Pierre seems to have taken the unintended internet spotlight in good stride. While he did remove his original question about interactive sex scenes with varying positions, he's since retweeted others reacting to the situation with statements like "This is, perhaps, the best response ever".

It's not known if any of the characters featured in the cinematic trailer are romance options, as CD Projekt Red has been more keen to elaborate on the storyline of the title as opposed to digital sex scene details. That being said, with both Cyberpunk 2077 and The Last Of Us 2 boasting a strong LGBTQ presence (and other high profile titles like Overwatch and Detroit: Become Human doing so as well), developers are evidently listening to fans who want representation beyond traditional heterosexual roles. In this case, it seems like exploring the explicit side of that representation will not be a fully interactive experience.

CD Projekt Red is still keeping most of Cyberpunk 2077 under wraps for now, but more details are expected to creep out as the year progresses.

Cyberpunk 2077 is will release for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, but has no official release date as of yet.
