CD Projekt Red took to Twitter yesterday to tease a Cyberpunk 2077 appearance at Gamescom this week and it didn't take long for the highly-anticipated title to make an appearance at the big show. Today has already been jam-packed with news about upcoming Switch games, The Division 2 news, and other industry updates, so be sure not to let these gorgeous new screenshots slip through the cracks.

Fans who had their fingers crossed for new Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay footage may be a bit disappointed, but the new screenshots are gorgeous and continue to flesh out the high tech dystopian city that gamers will be exploring in the upcoming RPG.

Here's a look at each of the new images...

Some of the reactions on Twitter focused on the lack of a gameplay demo, but CD Projekt Red is in no rush to share something with the community before the company feels ready. The behind closed doors gameplay demo at E3 2018 was one of the most talked about demos of the show, so clearly the team is working on something special.

Seeing that the game doesn't currently have a release date, it is very possible that we are still a long time away from a retail release. The development team is definitely keeping its cards those to the chest, but it may be a safe bet that the game will appear on an E3 stage at least once more.

Cyberpunk 2077 currently lacks an official release date, but is expected to release on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
