As far as 2020 video game releases go, few can compete with Cyberpunk 2077 for excitement and anticipation. Following the success of The Witcher series, CD Projekt RED has won the title of premiere RPG developer and as such is well positioned to sell tons of copies of its next project.

But for those gamers who may be curious about Cyberpunk 2077 but unsure if it will be worth full price Amazon has a deal going on right now. Amazon has already discounted Cyberpunk 2077 before, and once again it has the highly anticipated game on sale for $10 off its retail price.

For Amazon Prime members, the $49.94 price for Cyberpunk 2077 is listed right on the page for the game, whereas non-Prime members have to add the item to their cart before seeing the price. Either way, Amazon honors the pre-order price of $49.94. The one downside to the sale is that this Cyberpunk 2077 deal is only active for the Xbox One and PS4 versions of the game, not the PC version. For many gamers that is sure to be disappointing considering CD Projekt RED’s history of delivering impressive PC versions that push the limits of any gaming rig.

It’s also worth mentioning that the sale only applies to the standard edition of the game. However, it’s unlikely patrons were going to find the Cyberpunk 2077 Collector’s Edition available at any retailer, since it is sold out worldwide.

After years of mystery, Cyberpunk 2077 is quickly starting to come into focus for players through gameplay demos and presentations. Late last month, CD Projekt RED gave fans a peek at the RPG systems at play in the game, which will allow them to choose how they approach any situation. It was a heavily edited and shortened version of the same Cyberpunk 2077 demo shown at E3 2019, but it got the basic point across.

And so at this point, most players are either sold or not on whether they will be buying Cyberpunk 2077. There has been some controversies concerning the game – the removal of gender choice from character customization, for example – but the CDPR fan base has remained steadfast. So if these prior glimpses have done enough to convince, it’s worth saving $10 on the game ahead of time.

Cyberpunk 2077 releases April 16, 2020 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
