CD Projekt RED's upcoming action role-playing game, Cyberpunk 2077, is a real head turner for many, especially after the developer shared various story details concerning the game. Of course, the latest title is often compared to CD Projekt RED's Witcher series, and while many may be comparing V to Geralt, romantically the two appear to be different.

As a Witcher, Geralt had an increased libido, which is seen in his strictly heterosexual relationships. However, in Cyberpunk 2077, it has been revealed that players can approach romance in any way they like, as V is completely customizable to fit the gamer's preferences.

In an interview with quest designer Patrick Mills, it was discussed that V's gender and background are customizable, while also placing a lot of romance options in the player's hands, so they can define V's sexuality "any way [they] like." Moreover, how relationships are formed is up to the player, with there being casual and monogamous options.

In fact, Mills said, "We're aiming for big, complicated relationships that continue over the course of the game, but also casual encounters that don't matter that much." Mill also stated that NPCs would be varied in sexuality, with some characters being gay, bi, or straight. Of course, this is exciting news for those gamers who felt restricted by the Witcher's heterosexual lock, providing a romantic appeal for all audiences.

Considering Cyberpunk 2077 is much bigger than The Witcher 3, this news may not actually be a surprise to some; however, it's worth noting that not much is currently known about Cyberpunk 2077's romance options other than they exist. Presumably, however, there are plenty of romanceable NPCs to appeal to a variety of play styles.

Of course, through E3 2018, several other factors about the game were revealed, such as its weapon and combat system and the developer's intentions to release it on current-gen consoles. One detail yet to be revealed is the game's release, but whenever the game does launch, players can expect a unique and personal romantic relationship within the game - something many RPG players should love.

Cyberpunk 2077 is currently in development for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One but lacks an official release date.
