Rogue is one of the many romance options available during Cyberpunk 2077, and can even be romanced in tandem with other Cyberpunk characters like Judy or Panam without consequence. It's an enticing opportunity to reunite two lovers by using V as a medium.

It's easy to botch the rekindling, though, so it takes some careful choices and the right missions selection in Cyberpunk 2077 to make it happen. Here's how players can experience Rogue's full story and romance.

Updated on July 25th, 2023 by Hodey Johns: Since Rogue is a romance option in addition to other romance options, many players are going to be intrigued by her. V is little more than a medium for the process, of course, and it's Johnny that is looking to re-light the fire. Surprisingly, the rest of the cast is completely cool with this sexual escapade regardless of their feelings for V, so it's a win-win that opens up an alternative "sun" ending for players to choose. To help facilitate this process, this guide has been updated with step-by-step bullet points for gamers to quickly look at and read. For those who don't mind spoilers or need more detailed instructions, there is still a body of text to read beneath these points.

This article contains some spoilers for Cyberpunk 2077's main campaign.

How To Start The Rogue Romance

Cyberpunk 2077 Rogue Watching A Drive Through Movie With Johnny
  1. Complete the main mission called 'Tapeworm.'
  2. Complete the side mission called 'Chippin' In.'
  3. Say, "Yeah, I'll call Rogue." when Johnny asks.
  4. Call Rogue.
  5. Answer Rogue's text.
  6. Track the 'Blistering Love' side mission and complete the objectives.
  7. Take the pills when prompted.
  8. Choose the "Do anything not to lose you." option when prompted.
  9. Choose the "[Kiss] More than I expected." option when prompted.

Players can go about the game normally for a long time, even interacting with Rogue as positively or negatively as they'd like. Since it's not V doing the romance, players have a lot of freedom. The side mission they're looking for doesn't pop up until after completing Tapeworm, a main mission. Until then, feel free to get the best cyberware and buy cars.

Cyberpunk 2077 Taking The Pills And Allowing Johnny To Control V

To romance Rogue, it doesn't matter which voice or body type players chose at the beginning, but they will first need to complete Chippin' In. During Chippin' In, V must agree to let Johnny take over their body so he can speak with Rogue. She'll help V and Johnny get a lead on Adam Smasher. Get Jackie's motorcycle if that's the vibe the player wants and start hitting up the checkpoints.

After the mission, Johnny will ask for V's permission to take Rogue out on a date. To start Blistering Love, V will need to agree. Immediately afterward, Blistering Love should appear in the journal. V will need to call Rogue, as prompted, and she'll tell V to have Johnny meet her at Silver Pixel Cloud in the North Oak subdistrict of Night City, a decommissioned drive-in theater.

V will need to drive to the Afterlife to pick up Rogue, who's waiting just outside the entrance. Once they get to the drive-in, V will need to easily fix the projector before letting Johnny take the wheel. This is a low-tier romance option but because it's Johnny's romance and not V's, players can still pursue other options.

Cyberpunk 2077 Taking The Pills And Allowing Johnny To Control V

When she asks if Johnny would do anything differently back in 2015, respond with "Do anything not to lose you," after that, the only important note is to kiss her when prompted. Once the cutscene ends, it might seem like the end of Rogue's romance, but there's more story to unlock and this lifepath could potentially affect the Phantom Liberty DLC.

Completing Rogue's Romance

Cyberpunk 2077 Choices To Get The Sun Ending
  1. Start the final mission, called 'OP55N1.'
  2. Choose the "Think you and Rogue should go." option when prompted.
  3. Choose the "[Take pseudoendotrizine] I am. Do your thing, Johnny." option when prompted.
  4. Complete the mission called 'For Whom The Bell Tolls.'

It must be noted that the romance is only partial with Rogue if players only do the first step. She calls it off no matter what after a brief kissing scene and there is not a sex scene with her. This is as close as a Romance with Rogue can get, for V or Johnny at this time. Before the end, make lots of money and unlock everything else because the rest of the romance doesn't happen until the end of the game.

By finishing Blistering Love, V will now have access to finish the final mission with Johnny and Rogue in what's referred to as the Sun ending of Cyberpunk 2077. After allowing Johnny to take full control for the last heist, nothing special needs to be done to experience the rest of Rogue's story, which includes more romance between her and Johnny Silverhand. Players will find out new things about Johnny as he returns to Night City.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
