Last month, CD Projekt partnered with Rockstar Energy to produce a real-life energy drink based on Samurai Cola, a beverage found in Cyberpunk 2077. Now, as hype for the game nears its height, CD Projekt Red and Rockstar have announced that they will be giving a custom Cyberpunk 2077-themed 1970 Ford Mustang to promote the anticipated title.

Branding collaborations are common in the world of gaming, but those promotions rarely give away a real-world car. Rockstar’s bright-yellow Ford Mustang takes inspiration from the design of the Quadra Turbo R, the in-game car that is driven by Cyberpunk 2077 protagonist V in several of the game’s trailers and demos.

CD Projekt recently released detailed photos of the Turbo, which looks to be the in-game descendant of 1970s-era muscle cars like the Ford Mustang. The Quadra logo can be seen in red lettering on the grill of the custom Mustang, which also features a Rockstar Energy logo on the hood.

Fans hoping to have a change of winning the Mustang will have to purchase Rockstar Energy drinks. Each Rockstar can comes with a code that can be entered on the company’s website for entry for a chance to win the custom Mustang. The car is only the latest real-world tie-in to Cyberpunk 2077. Last week, images of a limited edition pair of Adidas Cyberpunk 2077 sneakers leaked online.

The custom Mustang is the top prize out of several rewards that fans can receive by entering the Rockstar codes. Other prizes include Cyberpunk 2077 themed hoodies and gaming headphones, Microsoft gift cards, and exclusive Cyberpunk 2077 digital comics. The comics, not to be confused with the previously-announced Trauma Team series, were written by Bartosz Sztybor and illustrated by Giannis Milonogiannis. The series, titled “Where’s Johnny,” contains three issues and tells the backstory of Johnny Silverhand, who will be voiced by Keanu Reeves.

Judging from trailers, cars will play a huge role in Cyberpunk 2077. Not only will they help V quickly move around Night City, but they are also essential to the Nomads, a group of Mad Max-inspired tribes that live on the outskirts of Night City. So, while giving away a real-life car might be surprising, it is a tie-in that makes perfect sense for Cyberpunk 2077.

The time period for Rockstar’s giveaway will continue past Cyberpunk 2077’s fast-approaching release date. According to Rockstar’s website, fans have 91 days from the date of publication to collect and enter Rockstar codes for a chance to win the custom Mustang.

Cyberpunk 2077 releases November 19 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Both console versions of the game will be backward compatible with next-gen systems.
