Despite the many controversies surrounding the title, Cyberpunk 2077 sold a lot of copies, and millions have experienced what Night City has to offer. During their adventures, players have the option to pay back a Ripperdoc by the name of Viktor who helps the protagonist, V, out of a sticky situation. It appears that Cyberpunk 2077 players are a generous bunch, because many have been settling their debts – and Viktor has been racking in the dough.

In a post on the game's official Twitter, developer CD Projekt Red decided to show just how much the Ripperdoc has been making. Since the launch of the title, Viktor has earned 147 billion eurodollars. That's a lot of eddies. To put it in another perspective, the post points out that this equates to 12,250,000 Burrito XXLs. Though he should probably spend his earnings on a better shop in a nicer part of town.

Cyberpunk 2077 ranks as one of the most expensive games ever made, but its launch was marred by numerous glitches and bugs that made playing the game a pain. While the quality of the story and characters were never a point of contention for many, there was a lot that was objectively broken within the game. The developer has made an effort to fix many of Cyberpunk 2077's glaring issues, but there's still work to do and a comeback for Cyberpunk 2077 may not be possible.

However, it is a much better game now than it was when it launched and those who chose to wait until the kinks were ironed out will likely enjoy the title much more than those who dove right in at the start. A player's journey through the amazing Night City is still a great one. There are plenty of entertaining story moments and lots of fast-paced gameplay to enjoy. PC players can also use mods to enhance the experience if they feel parts are still lacking.

Winning back fans is going to be a tough hill to climb for CD Projekt Red, but there are opportunities outside of simply fixing the game. There's a chance that Cyberpunk 2077 DLC could renew fan confidence in the developer, if CD Projekt decides to make some. That is if it's well-made and devoid of the glaring issues from before. Judging by the number of debts being repaid to Viktor, there are a lot of players out there, and all of them are hoping for a solid bit of new content to cleanse the palate.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Stadia with PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions in development.
