Cyberpunk 2077 is quickly approaching its latest release date, and with game cases being found out in the wild, it seems likely that this one is going to stick. Via one of the game cases that have been stumbled upon, people now have an idea of the Cyberpunk 2077 file size.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be releasing with two discs for those purchasing a physical copy, a rare occurrence that has only been seen a few times during this console generation. The most prominent use of two discs was Red Dead Redemption 2, though Middle-Earth: Shadow of War’s Definitive Edition also came with a second disc. Based on these past games, players can expect one disc to be used for the game’s install and the other disc to be used to actually play the game.

The install disc makes sense given the large file size of Cyberpunk 2077, as it is on par with recent games like Demon’s Souls and Spider-Man: Miles Morales in terms of the space it takes up. For players downloading Cyberpunk 2077 onto one of their consoles, they will need to have 70 GB of space free for the game. It is worth noting, however, that this does not count the game’s day one patch and future updates, so cushioning that space requirement may be a wise idea.

With recent Cyberpunk 2077 footage showing how in depth the world of Night City is, a fairly large download size makes sense for the latest CD Projekt Red game. While it is far from the biggest game to be seen on consoles, as that award usually goes to a Call of Duty game at the end of its DLC season, 70 GB is still a very respectable size. The use of the two discs should be useful for a speedier install of the large game, though.

A few more discoveries were made via the Cyberpunk 2077 case images, such as what comes within the package. It seems like delays have not had an impact on the goodies players will get alongside their purchase of Cyberpunk 2077, as a world compendium will still be included with every physical copy. Further, players will get a sticker set, postcards, and a map. A look at the front and back covers was also provided by the game case photos, though nothing major was found.

With new ads popping up daily and CD Projekt Red constantly reassuring fans Cyberpunk 2077’s latest release date is the final one, players should start freeing up space on their consoles. Before long, fans will be finding the real Keanu Reeves within a game they have waited years for.

Cyberpunk 2077 is out December 10, 2020, for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with a free next-gen upgrade planned for the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
