Now that Cyberpunk 2077 is finally here, many members of the gaming community have plunged head first into the game. With varied customization options, a large selection of weapons and upgrades to choose from, and memorable characters, Cyberpunk 2077 has left a strong impact on a number of players. It even inspired one talented user to remake the game in the style of a PS1 title.

The game has had a very rocky start since its initial launch. In fact, one Cyberpunk 2077 clip shows just how much can go wrong in the game, without the player really having to do anything. Despite this, the game has still managed to wow a lot of people, including fellow game developers.

Anders Lundbjork, who runs the one-man mobile game development studio Dreamon Studios, released a short video on YouTube that shows what Cyberpunk 2077 on PlayStation 1 would look like. From both a visual and sound design perspective, this video does an incredible job of capturing the aesthetic and structure from that particular era of gaming.

The colors and city layout do a good job of matching the actual Cyberpunk 2077, but the way character models and textures look, along with the sound design, make it look more like a first-person version of a classic Grand Theft Auto game. It is impressive and bizarre to say the least. In response to the Tweet, many users were also asking for playable version of Cyberpunk for the PS1.

It's nice to see fans still showing love and appreciation for this game, despite all of its hiccups since its initial launch. In addition to this video, there has been numerous pieces of fanart and cosplays, with one talented individual cosplaying as Judy Alvarez, one of the most popular NPCs in the game.

However, the game still has a lot of problems that need to be addressed. The game's performance on PS4 and Xbox One was so buggy and unapproachable to so many players that Sony actually removed Cyberpunk 2077 from the PlayStation store. Right now, it's difficult to say when the game will be properly fixed for console, but players can hope that CD Projekt Red will continue to remain reactive and continue to address further bugs and crashes as they continue to get reported. For some players, the game may look bad right now, but it certainly looks better than it would on PS1.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions currently in development.
