Pisces is one of the final Cyberpunk 2077 side quests in Judy Alvarez's storyline, but it's the first one where V's decisions will actually matter if they want to romance the braindance technician. Getting the best ending from Pisces can be a bit tricky because it's one of the more complex side quests in Cyberpunk 2077.

V will meet Judy very early on in Cyberpunk 2077's main campaign before the big heist with Yorinobu Arasaka goes down. But after the heist, Judy's storyline will branch off and become optional side missions, starting with Both Sides, Now. After a series of tragic events continuing into Ex-Factor, they'll prompt Judy to get revenge on the Tyger Claws, the gang that runs Clouds, in Talkin' 'Bout A Revolution. Up to this point, to romance Judy Alvarez, players only need to accept her quests and go along with her plans.

Starting Pisces

V can start Pisces at any point following this, as long as they go to Night City's Megabuilding H8 in the afternoon, but V can always pass the time by waiting on the railing. Judy will show up with the dolls from Clouds around the corner from here and V can go over the plan with her one more time. Then, the four will take the elevator to the maintenance level but Roxanne and Tom will break off from the group.

The Penthouse

After getting off the elevator, V will need to stealth kill some guards on the maintenance level. If V has cyberware equipped that allows for short-circuiting foes or other remote attacks, the enemies can be taken out quickly and quietly. But V can also go into this mission guns blazing if they'd prefer; it won't change enemy alert levels later on.

Judy will do some hacking on a panel and ask V to take the elevator up to the penthouse. After getting onto the roof, take an immediate left and take Judy's instruction to jump down onto the balcony. There's a small space next to the white railing that V can use to get onto the balcony. Alternatively, after exiting the elevator, to the left will be a damaged fence that V can break off with a Technical Ability of 5. Going this route will give V the upper hand for stealth kills.

Go again to the left to overlook the balcony. Here, V can stealth kill enemies by remotely hacking their cyberware and picking them off one by one, both by looking onto the balcony as well as through the sunroofs into the penthouse itself. Or, V can shoot their way in, but it'll be difficult to sneak through to the upper floor without killing anyone. V will most likely have to shoot their way out at the end of the mission, so it's more convenient to take care of the foes quietly beforehand.

The double doors to get inside the Tyger Claws' penthouse is on the balcony, back in the direction of the elevator that V came from, up a small set of stairs. After getting rid of the enemies inside, take a left and follow the waypoint through a large doorway, then a right up the stairs. The door to Horimi's office will be on the right, blocked by a guard.

Negotiating with Maiko and the Tyger Claws

cyberpunk 2077 maiko

Maiko is inside with three Tyger Claws in braindance sessions, including Hiromi. After talking with her, she will reveal that her true plan is to negotiate with the Tyger Claws and replace Hiromi's position, rather than kill them as Judy wanted. This is where the quest gets tricky.

The goal here is to kill the Tyger Claw bosses like Judy wants, but not kill Maiko in the process. One outcome of this mission is to let Maiko make her deal with the Tyger Claws, which will upset Judy in the end. Accepting a cut of the profit from Maiko will be worse. But killing Maiko, even in self-defense when she becomes agitated with V, will also upset Judy, which isn't ideal for those wanting to romance her. Specific dialogue options when negotiating with the Tyger Claws need to be selected.

The first response from V is telling Maiko, "Hold on. Think you've gone too far," which will show the Tyger Claws that the two aren't on the same page and make Maiko look bad. Next, select "Clouds declares its independence," which will show Maiko's incompetence and makes the Tyger Claws hostile against her. They can be defeated quickly, especially with the katana on the table, as Maiko cowers in fear.

After defeating all enemies in the penthouse, return to Maiko to talk. First, select "What?" so Maiko doesn't become hostile against V, then select "Can't know that for sure." She'll be upset but V can walk away without killing her as well.

Players with a female V will know they got the best outcome if Judy kisses V at the end of their conversation. If V is male, she won't do anything, but she won't be upset with V either.

Cyberpunk 2077 is out now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions in development.
