A couple of weeks ago, CD Projekt Red announced that Cyberpunk 2077 has been delayed once again. Initially, the game was supposed to come out in April, but was delayed to September, and has now been postponed to November 19. Now, players who are still looking forward to Cyberpunk 2077's release would be happy to know that the PC pre-order for the game is currently discounted at Amazon.

Players can pre-purchase Cyberpunk 2077 for the PC for $49.94, which is 10% off its original price of $59.99. While Amazon's discount is not that much, it is currently the lowest price available for the game's pre-order. Previously, the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game were also discounted, but at the time of writing, the console versions remain at full price. Nonetheless, players who pre-order Cyberpunk 2077 will be getting digital bonuses such as the game soundtrack, art booklet, the Cyberpunk 2020 sourcebook, and various wallpapers for desktop and mobile devices.

Circling back to the game's delay, CD Projekt Red said in a lengthy post that it needed more time to develop the game and bring it to a level of quality that fans deserve. Given its November release date, the studio also confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 should launch with the PS5 and Xbox Series X. While the specific release dates of the next-generation consoles are still unknown, CD Projekt Red's announcement suggests that the new consoles may launch near Cyberpunk 2077's release date. Of course, both Sony and Microsoft have previously set a release window of Holiday 2020, which begins in late November.

Moreover, CD Projekt Red also confirmed that the current-generation version of Cyberpunk 2077 will be compatible with both the PS5 and Xbox Series X. This means that players who will purchase either a PS4 or Xbox One copy of Cyberpunk 2077 will be able to play that same version on their next-gen counterparts. To add to the good news, the studio also announced that the game will have next-generation optimizations for better performance on both the PS5 and Xbox Series X.

Despite the delay, the hype for Cyberpunk 2077 is only growing. Just recently, CD Projekt Red released a 25-minute gameplay footage of Cyberpunk 2077, allowing fans to have a peek of the upcoming game. The latest footage delved into the game's intriguing story and also showed off the vast open-world environment that CD Projekt Red has been building. While the latest gameplay footage isn't final, the game already looks amazing, making the additional two months of waiting worth it.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be released for PC, PS4, and Xbox One on November 19, with PS5, Stadia, and Xbox Series X versions also in development.
