To say that Cyberpunk 2077 has had a difficult time since its initial release back in December 2020, would be a massive understatement. When it first launched, Cyberpunk 2077 was rife with technical issues that not only broke the composition of the experience but also made the game barely functional on some platforms. To be fair, Cyberpunk 2077 has come a long way since then, but there are still some bugs the game hasn't managed to shake.

In one year, CD Projekt Red has managed to make enormous strides in improving Cyberpunk 2077's quality of life. Numerous patches and hotfixes have been released that address the core issues that plagued the active gameplay of Cyberpunk 2077. While the game certainly runs much better since the initial launch, as one player recently found out, Cyberpunk 2077 isn't quite free from its technical issues.

Over on Reddit, a user by the name of RedGing12 posted a thirty-second video clip where they witness an NPC falling from one of Night City's skyscrapers, only to stand up as if nothing had happened. Upon further inspection, the player noticed that there was a significant bloodstain where the NPC had landed, but the NPC himself looks perfectly fine.

This might be an extremely hilarious occurrence for some, but it ultimately highlights a problem that Cyberpunk 2077 has always had and, evidently, still has. The ultimate goal of Cyberpunk 2077 is to make Night City and other surrounding areas feel alive and vivid, but it's almost impossible to cultivate that sense of immersion when NPCs are falling off of buildings, only to come out of the situation unscathed.

In fairness, there are plenty of AAA games that possess immersion-breaking bugs. Even longstanding games like Skyrim still have bugs and glitches, in spite of the fact that the game has been out since 2010. Although, the difference is that Skyrim has been available long enough to have those imperfections feel a part of the experience for some players, whereas with Cyberpunk 2077, nobody had expected the game to have this many bugs when it first launched.

In any case, it will be interesting to see what the future holds for Cyberpunk 2077 going forward. There's still free DLC for Cyberpunk 2077 that has yet to be released. Though, that could take some additional time, given the sheer volume of ongoing technical issues that Cyberpunk 2077 still possesses on all platforms.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
