Though this year is still missing some pomp and circumstance in the absence of E3, there's still plenty of gameplay reveals coming for fans. In the case of Cyberpunk 2077, despite being delayed until September of this year, it seems CD Projekt Red still has plenty to tease fans with until the game comes out this fall. CD Projekt Red has provided glimpses into the game that range from core gameplay mechanics, varying playstyles and classes, as well as a variety of other things.

Now Cyberpunk 2077 has the "Night City Wire" event coming on June 11, though nothing else has been announced other than its existence. As to what's coming in this presentation, well it could be a number of things. There's been a few additional "deep dive" demos outside of 2019's E3 trailer, but there's still a whole lot fans don't necessarily know about the game story-wise. This Night City Wire could very well be the last big push for Cyberpunk prior to release, so there's a few things to expect from the event next month.

An Overview of Night City

Of course it wouldn't be a proper trailer without a sizzle reel showing off the very best of the game, but CD Projekt Red may have something new in store. Cyberpunk 2077 is finally coming out seven years after its initial reveal in 2013, after all. We've already seen plenty of deep dives into the world of Night City's gangs/factions and specific regions within the metro area, but in truth there's not much fans know specifically about the city itself. Considering the presentation is called the "Night City Wire" specifically, this event may focus on Night City specifically with more details on the world of Cyberpunk altogether. Some of the "Deep Dive" presentations have shown of particular regions within Night City, but a presentation all about each district of Night City would make a lot of sense at this point.

Another Gameplay "Deep Dive"

In terms of another gameplay demo or deep dive, it seems CD Projekt Red will supposedly have a separate presentation/video prepared at some point later on in June. Likely accompanying the June 11 event, a "Hands On" gameplay event is scheduled for June as well according to CD Projekt Red's Q1 2020 earnings report. Whether it's separate from the Night City Wire presentation or not remains to be seen, but the "hands on" portion of the gameplay presentation is interesting phrasing.

Wishful thinking would mean there's a potential demo coming for fans prior to Cyberpunk 2077's release. Realistically though, "hands on" probably means something like the Deep Dive series CD Projekt Red released after E3 last year. Either way, more gameplay of Cyberpunk 2077 this close to release will more accurately reflect what to expect in September.

Perhaps a New Surprise

This may be wishful thinking, but last year the big surprise from Cyberpunk 2077 was Johnny Silverhand. At Xbox's press conference for E3 2019, Cyberpunk 2077 had revealed that Keanu Reeves would be taking on the role of the protagonist's guide throughout the game. Needless to say this news blew many fans and others' minds, as if Cyberpunk needed to be any cooler than it was. Reeves' Johnny Silverhand reveal could've been the ace up CD Projekt Red's sleeve, but fans are likely wondering if Cyberpunk 2077 has any other surprises ready before the game officially releases. It's very possible there could be another surprising character reveal during this presentation, but again, wishful thinking. This close to release, fans have already seen a lot of what Cyberpunk 2077 is bringing to the table. But there's always the possibility.

More than likely this stream will introduce more of the world of Cyberpunk to fans, giving a glimpse into several of the distinct areas of Night City. There may even be some story details in there as well, but CD Projekt Red has repeatedly stated in many of the gameplay deep dives of their sensitivity to releasing spoilers. That being said, fans should get to see more of what Night City has to offer real soon.

Cyberpunk 2077 is releasing on September 17 for PC, PS4, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
